Today, Mr. Shah Mardan Sahib, Ex-Teacher of GHS Chumurkone, Chitral, visited the school as a guest speaker. During the morning assembly, he delivered an inspiring and informative lecture to the students on character building and the importance of knowledge.
In his address, he emphasized that good character, discipline, honesty, respect, and positive attitudes are essential for becoming successful and responsible members of society. He also highlighted the importance of education and knowledge in shaping a bright future and encouraged students to develop the habit of reading, learning, and applying knowledge in their daily lives. Today, Aqeedah Khatm-e-Nabuwwat Day was organized at Government High School Chumurkone with great respect and devotion. The programme was attended by the Headmaster, teaching staff, and students of the school.
The programme began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, followed by a brief introduction to the significance and importance of Aqeedah Khatm-e-Nabuwwat.
On this occasion, Qari Muhammad Yousuf Sahib, SST of GHS Chumurkone, delivered a detailed and informative speech on the subject. He explained the Islamic belief that Prophet Muhammad ﷺ is the final Prophet of Allah and discussed the importance of Khatm-e-Nabuwwat in Islamic faith. He highlighted the teachings of the Holy Quran and Sunnah and emphasized the need for Muslims, especially young students, to understand and preserve their fundamental beliefs.
Qari Muhammad Yousuf Sahib also encouraged the students to study the Seerah of the Holy Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and to follow his teachings in their daily lives. He stressed the importance of good character, truthfulness, honesty, respect, tolerance, peace, and unity. He advised the students to acquire authentic religious knowledge and avoid misunderstanding or spreading unverified information about religious matters.

Independence Day Celebration at GHS Chumurkone, Chitral Lower

Government High School Chumurkone, Chitral Lower celebrated the 79th Independence Day of Pakistan on 14th August 2026 with great zeal, enthusiasm and patriotic spirit.

The ceremony began with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by Dua. The national flag was hoisted with full respect and honour, while students and teachers expressed their love and commitment to the beloved homeland.

Students actively participated in a variety of patriotic activities, including national songs, speeches, poems and other inspiring performances. The speakers paid tribute to the sacrifices of the leaders and people who struggled for the creation of Pakistan and highlighted the significance of unity, discipline, honesty, hard work and responsible citizenship for the progress of the country.

The event concluded with special prayers for the peace, prosperity, stability and continued development of Pakistan. The celebration left the students with a renewed sense of patriotism and responsibility towards their country.

Today, on Friday, a collective Quran recitation was held at Government High School Chumurkone, Lower Chitral. This is a regular practice observed every Friday. After the Quran recitation, a special prayer was offered for the peace, prosperity, and security of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Special prayers were also made for those affected by the recent floods, seeking Allah's mercy, protection, and speedy recovery for the victims.
