𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐓𝐄𝐕𝐓𝐀 𝐕𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐬 𝐏𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐞𝐛 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐭𝐞𝐬

Chairman TEVTA, Brig. Muhammad Sajid Khokhar, SI(M),Retd., visited the Government Technical Training Institute (GTTI) Pindigheb, currently being considered to be upgraded as Government College of Technology (GCT), as well as the Government Vocational Training Institute (Women) [GVTI(W)] Pindigheb.

At GTTI Pindigheb, he reviewed the upgradation plans and discussed various options for establishing the intended labs of various technologies to be introduced in GCT. Project is likely to be executed in 2 phases.
Phase-I will introduce DAE Petroleum Technology, DAE CIT, short courses, and an Instrumentation Technology Lab, while Phase-II will include DAE Chemical and Instrumentation Technologies, along with new academic, hostel, and residential facilities.

At GVTI(W) Pindigheb, the Chairman interacted with female students and discussed career planning, employment opportunities, the CM e-Bike Scheme, responsible use of social media, and the importance of technical skills. He expressed satisfaction with the institute’s standards and emphasized continued focus on female students’ professional grooming and empowerment.

The Chairman also planted saplings at both institutes, reaffirming TEVTA’s commitment to promoting green and sustainable campuses.

𝐂𝐄𝐎 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐅𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐍𝐞𝐭𝐒𝐨𝐥 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐒𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐞𝐦 𝐆𝐡𝐚𝐮𝐫𝐢 commented that Chief Minister IT Internship Program (CMITIP) is an opportunity for all the IT companies to come together and strengthen Pakistan’s IT eco-system. He has encouraged the IT companies to participate in this initiative, take in interns and train them to build a successful future-ready nation.
CMITIP is a flagship initiative of the Government of Punjab aiming to enhance the employability of fresh IT graduates by collaborating with IT companies. Registration for the 3rd Cohort of IT companies is currently open now at cmitinterns.punjab.gov.pk

The Longstanding Friendship between Pakistan and China 🇵🇰 🇨🇳 continues to create new opportunities in the field of Technical and Vocational Education. Under the collaboration between TEVTA Punjab and TANG China International, TEVTA students are pursuing a Dual Diploma Program, providing them with valuable international academic and practical exposure.

Under the program, students complete two years of education at TEVTA institutes and one year in China. In the second batch, 20 Software Technology students from PGA, Lahore, have successfully completed the program.

To appreciate the students’ hard work and encourage their achievements, a Certificate Distribution Ceremony was organized at the TEVTA Secretariat.

Chairman TEVTA Brig. Muhammad Sajid Khokhar, SI(M), Retd., along with Mr. Song Jianying, TANG International Education Group, Pakistan, distributed certificates among the successful students.

COO TEVTA Mr. Muhammad Majid Iqbal, TEVTA Directors General, and officials from TANG China were also present on the occasion.

𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐜 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭 (𝐒𝐏𝐔) 𝐃𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐕𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐬 𝐓𝐄𝐕𝐓𝐀 𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐭

A delegation of 18 members of the Strategic Planning Unit (SPU), under the Skills Development & Entrepreneurship Department (SD&ED), led by Additional Secretary SD&ED, Munawar Hussain, visited the TEVTA Secretariat. The delegation comprised Executive Directors, General Managers, and Assistant Managers.

The delegation was given a detailed presentation on TEVTA’s functioning, projects, ongoing initiatives, and Chief Minister Punjab’s initiatives by DG Operations-II, Mr. Aamir Aziz.

Following the presentation, an interactive session was held with Chairman TEVTA, Brig. Muhammad Sajid Khokhar, SI(M), Retd. The Chairman provided detailed responses to the queries raised by the SPU members and shared insights into TEVTA’s ongoing efforts for the development of the TVET sector.

Addressing the delegation, Chairman TEVTA emphasized the importance of their orientation and expressed hope that SPU and TEVTA would work together as a team to bring further improvements and contribute to the betterment of the TVET sector.

After the presentation, the delegation visited Meraki (Hospitality Department), Luban Workshop, and Digital Skills Road Academy at GTTI Gulberg, Lahore. The delegation also visited the Healthcare Training classrooms and laboratory at GTTI Gujjarpura, Lahore.
