First Public Sector University The summary of the project was presented before the Chief Minister by Higher Education Division and it was approved in 2018.

*Introduction*
The summary for the establishment of a sub-campus –Government College University Faisalabad-at District Chiniot was approved by the Government of Punjab in 2015 with the vision that the university should introduce different programs in different disciplines for the benefit of the local masses. The land which is allocated for the development of the sub-campus is 101 Kanals and 16 Mar

las at Chak No.14 JB, Chiniot. It is 8 kilometers away from the city center. The Worthy Vice-Chancellor of GCUF Prof. Dr. Shahid Kamal along with other administrative staff visited the site of the campus in February 2020. Now two academic blocks are under construction at the said site with the approved capital cost of Rs 1676.561 million by CDWP. Currently, the temporary building which is just 3 kilometers away from city Chiniot is operational for the classes of running semesters. The main objective of the campus is to provide high quality and accessible education to the students of District Chiniot who in order to get higher education used to go to other districts. Initially, BS programs in four subjects (Sociology, English, Mathematics, & BBA) are being offered in the Institute of Arts and Sciences, GCUF, Chiniot campus. We are planning to offer more BS programs in the near future. Our Teaching Faculty of all the Departments- Sociology, English, Mathematics, & BBA- is highly qualified, experienced, and enthusiastic, who will provide the highest quality learning environment for the greater wellbeing of our students and deliver an outstanding educational portfolio. In a short span of time, the campus has made considerable progress in terms of academic development, as a huge response from the students of Chiniot is seen during the enrolment campaign.

Should I go to my orientation day?

FoA. What is orientation Day?
orientation Day is a chance for incoming students to explore the campus, meet faculty, and talk to an academic advisor before registering for classes. It's also an opportunity to find out more about your campus.

Of course you should.

The world is full of stuff you don’t know. Part of the campus experience is gaining knowledge, but a much more important part of it is getting a better understanding of just how much you don’t know, and learning how to acquire knowledge about it. Universities don’t just teach facts, they teach you how to learn on your own.

Orientation will be packed full of information that you don’t know, and it probably won’t be repeated. A lot of it will be about how to use the campus's resources, how to get help with many different kinds of academic and personal problems, and how to take advantage of facilities available to you that you currently have no idea even exist.

Another aspect of orientation is social: people make friends, or at least get familiar with people in their year group. “I remember seeing you at orientation” is a good conversation opener. And of course knowing some people in your year group gives you another route to getting help if you have problems, forget the due date of assignments, etc.
