Alhamad ulillah our achievements
Chaudhry Irfan Akbar Damwala
In the town of Chakwal, a dedicated farmer has successfully constructed a mini-dam, a remarkable feat that is benefiting not only his own land but also neighboring villages by providing a vital water supply.
This impressive mini dam, situated in Bukhari Kalan, approximately 30 kilometers from Chakwal city, stands as a testament to the farmer's six years of unwavering dedication and hard work.
Spanning 35 acres and costing around 4 crore rupees, the mini dam reaches a depth of 15 feet. Its purpose is to gather rainwater and river runoff, with the capacity to irrigate an expansive 200-acre area, although it currently serves an initial 100-acre expanse.
Chaudhry Irfan, the visionary farmer behind this endeavor, shared that the region faced water scarcity and underground water-related challenges. Determined to find a solution, he and his fellow community members embarked on a journey to harness their resources. The result was the construction of the mini dam, which is now facilitating irrigation and transforming previously barren lands into lush greenery.
