As part of the Review of Institutional Performance and Enhancement (RIPE) 2025–26, an interactive meeting was held with students of the University of Chakwal to gather their valuable feedback regarding academic, administrative, and support services.

The RIPE Review Committee provided students with an opportunity to openly share their experiences, concerns, and suggestions for institutional improvement. Various issues highlighted by the students were carefully noted and communicated to the relevant authorities for consideration and further action.

The session reflected the University's commitment to student-centered quality assurance and continuous enhancement of the learning environment.

The University of Chakwal successfully hosted the Review of Institutional Performance and Enhancement (RIPE) 2025–26, conducted under the framework of HEC's Pakistan Precepts, Standards and Guidelines (PSG-2023).

Over the course of the two-day visit, the Review Committee conducted a detailed evaluation of institutional standards through meetings with relevant academic and administrative officials and examination of supporting evidence and documentation. Interactive sessions were also held with students, faculty members, support staff, and administrative staff to gather stakeholder feedback and assess institutional effectiveness from multiple perspectives.

The review process further included assessment of facilities and infrastructure, discussions on institutional practices, and formulation of recommendations aimed at strengthening quality assurance and continuous improvement across the University.

The successful coordination and facilitation of the RIPE review process was undertaken by the Directorate of Quality Enhancement (QEC). Under the supervision of Engr. Safia Bibi, Deputy Director QEC, the Directorate worked closely with all academic and administrative units to ensure the smooth conduct of the review activities and effective engagement of stakeholders throughout the visit.

The University remains grateful to the Worthy Vice Chancellor for his continued support, guidance, and commitment to fostering a culture of quality, accountability, and institutional excellence. His leadership played a pivotal role in ensuring the successful conduct of the review process and reinforcing the University's dedication to continuous improvement.

(لاہور) وائس چانسلر یونیورسٹی آف چکوال، پروفیسر ڈاکٹر فرخ ارسلان صدیقی نے لاہور میں چیئرمین پنجاب ہائر ایجوکیشن کمیشن، پروفیسر ڈاکٹر اقرار احمد خان، اور سیکرٹری ہائر ایجوکیشن ڈیپارٹمنٹ پنجاب، جناب غلام فرید سے ان کے دفاتر میں الگ الگ ملاقاتیں کیں۔ ملاقاتوں میں یونیورسٹی آف چکوال کے جاری ترقیاتی منصوبوں، درپیش مالی ضروریات اور ادارے کی مجموعی تعلیمی ترقی سے متعلق امور پر تفصیلی تبادلۂ خیال کیا گیا۔
وائس چانسلر نے اعلیٰ حکام کو بتایا کہ یونیورسٹی کے چار اہم ترقیاتی منصوبے مطلوبہ فنڈز کی عدم دستیابی کے باعث تاخیر کا شکار ہیں، جن کی مجموعی لاگت پانچ ارب روپے سے زائد ہے۔ انہوں نے اس امر پر زور دیا کہ زیرِ التوا فنڈنگ کی بروقت فراہمی نہ صرف ان منصوبوں کی جلد تکمیل کو یقینی بنائے گی بلکہ یونیورسٹی میں تدریسی، تحقیقی اور انتظامی سہولیات کے فروغ میں بھی کلیدی کردار ادا کرے گی۔
پروفیسر ڈاکٹر فرخ ارسلان صدیقی نے پنجاب ہائر ایجوکیشن کمیشن اور ہائر ایجوکیشن ڈیپارٹمنٹ سے مطالبہ کیا کہ ترقیاتی منصوبوں کے لیے درکار فنڈز کو ترجیحی بنیادوں پر جاری کیا جائے تاکہ منصوبوں کو جلد از جلد مکمل کرکے طلبہ اور اساتذہ کو بہتر تعلیمی ماحول فراہم کیا جا سکے۔
اس موقع پر چیئرمین پنجاب ہائر ایجوکیشن کمیشن پروفیسر ڈاکٹر رانا اقرار احمد خان اور سیکرٹری ہائر ایجوکیشن ڈیپارٹمنٹ غلام فرید نے یونیورسٹی آف چکوال کی ترقی کے لیے اپنے بھرپور تعاون کا یقین دلاتے ہوئے کہا کہ مطلوبہ فنڈنگ کی فراہمی کے لیے ضروری اقدامات کیے جائیں گے تاکہ جاری منصوبے جلد پایۂ تکمیل تک پہنچ سکیں۔
ملاقاتوں کے دوران ضلع چکوال میں اعلیٰ تعلیم کے معیار کو مزید بہتر بنانے، تحقیق اور اختراع کے فروغ، صنعتی و سماجی ضروریات سے ہم آہنگ نئے تعلیمی پروگرام متعارف کرانے اور طلبہ کے لیے جدید تعلیمی مواقع پیدا کرنے کے حوالے سے بھی تفصیلی مشاورت کی گئی۔
وائس چانسلر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر فرخ ارسلان صدیقی نے اس موقع پر کہا کہ یونیورسٹی آف چکوال کو ایک جدید، فعال اور معیاری اعلیٰ تعلیمی ادارہ بنانے کے لیے تمام دستیاب وسائل بروئے کار لائے جا رہے ہیں۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ جامعہ کی انتظامیہ تدریس، تحقیق، انفراسٹرکچر اور طلبہ کی فلاح و بہبود کے شعبوں میں مسلسل بہتری کے لیے کوشاں ہے اور امید ہے کہ مستقبل قریب میں یونیورسٹی آف چکوال ملک کی ممتاز جامعات میں نمایاں مقام حاصل کرے گی۔

Prof. Dr. Farrrukh Arsalan Siddiqui, Vice Chancellor, University of Chakwal, held a productive meeting with Rana Sikandar Hayat, Honourable Minister for Higher Education, Punjab, at the Higher Education Department (HED) Office in Lahore.

The meeting focused on the evolving landscape of higher education and strategies to enhance its quality, accessibility, and relevance across the newly established universities in Punjab. The discussion was aligned with the vision of Chief Minister Punjab, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, to strengthen higher education through institutional development and quality enhancement.
Matters relating to the University's recurring budget, government support for students, upcoming convocation at University of Chakwal (UoC), and ongoing development projects at UoC were also discussed. Special emphasis was placed on addressing the educational needs of North Punjab, particularly the Chakwal region, through academic excellence, innovation, and collaborative initiatives.

Both dignitaries reaffirmed their commitment to empowering youth, promoting research and innovation, and strengthening the higher education sector to contribute effectively to national development.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Mr. Mubashar Hassan Arif of the Department of English, University of Chakwal, on his outstanding achievement.

Mr. Arif has brought immense pride to the university by serving as the first invited speaker from the institution at the International Conference on Cross-Cultural Encounters, held at the University of Lisbon, Portugal.

His presentation, titled “The Crescent on the Stage: Islam and Muslims in Two Elizabethan Dramatists,” examined the influence of Anglo-Islamic political alliances on Shakespearean characters. The talk highlighted how Shakespeare incorporated the diplomatic relations between Queen Elizabeth I and rulers of the Islamic world into his dramatic works.

Today, Prof. Dr. Farrukh Arslan Siddiqui, Vice Chancellor, University of Chakwal, paid a visit to the ongoing Final Term Examinations of various academic programs being conducted at the University. During the visit, he inspected different examination halls and reviewed the overall examination arrangements, including the conduct of examinations, invigilation process, and compliance with prescribed examination rules and regulations.

The Vice Chancellor expressed satisfaction over the arrangements and emphasized the importance of maintaining transparency, fairness, and discipline throughout the examination process. He also directed the concerned officials to ensure strict adherence to examination procedures in order to uphold the academic standards and integrity of the University.
