The Department of Sociology has conducted Synopsis Defense for the Session 2021-25 successfully.

The Department of Sociology organized an insightful seminar addressing two significant topics: mental health stigma and breast cancer awareness. Chairman DOS Dr. Malik Sohail highlighted the importance of well-being and its role in fostering a flourishing society. Renowned Psychologist Dr. Tehreem Fatima delved into the stigma surrounding mental health, emphasizing the need for open discussions on this critical issue. Dr. Ghazala, Deputy District Population Welfare Officer presented on the importance of breast cancer screening, underscoring the need for early detection. In his concluding remarks, District Population Welfare Officer Malik Wajahat commended the Department of Sociology for its efforts in raising awareness on these vital topics.

Dr. Malik Muhammad Sohail, Chairman Department of Sociology, recently won a significant grant for $12,000 (Co-PI) from MacMillan Center Collaborative International Research, Yale University, USA. The project aims to initiate a dialogue on issues and potential solutions for religion-based polarization and prejudice in society.

You are required to upload your paid challan form to the University's admission portal by August 26th. Failure to do so will result in your name being excluded from the merit list.
