Noun cases:
(4) The object of the preposition/Oblique case:
In this case, a noun is placed after a preposition that's why it's known object of preparation.
اس case میں، ایک Noun کو preposition کے بعد رکھا جاتا ہے اسی لیے اسے object of preposition بھی کہا جاتا ہے۔
Examples:(1) I go to school (2) Chair is made of wood (3) He is from Pakistan (4) They are in the class.
مندرجہ بالا جملوں میں school, wood, Pakistan اور class جو کہ Nouns ہیں اس سے پہلے to, from, in اور of آئے ہیں جو کہ preposition ہیں اس لیے اس case کو "The object of preposition" کہا جاتا ہے۔

Noun cases:
(3) The complement of be/ subjective complement:
It's used as a complement of "be".In this case, a noun is used after any form of "Be" to complete the meaning of the subject/ sentence.
یہ "Be" کی complement کے طور پر استعمال ہوتا ہے۔ اس Case میں، subject/ sentence کے معنی کو مکمل کرنے کے لیے "Be" کی کسی بھی شکل کے بعد اسم استعمال کیا جاتا ہے۔
Examples:
(1) Ahmad is a teacher (2) she is very happy (3) we are hungry etc.
مندرجہ بالا جملوں کو اگر غور دیکھا جائے تو اس میں teacher, happy, اور hungry, معنی کی تکمیل کرتی ہے جو کہcomplement ہے اس کے بغیر معنی کی تکمیل نہیں ہوتی ہے۔
Now let discuss that what's "Be form" actually?
اب اس بات پر بحث کرتے ہیں کہ "Be form" اصل میں ہے کیا ؟
Actually " Be form", consists of "Is, are, am(present) and "Was, were" used for past.
اصل میں "Be form" زمانہ حال(present) میں Is, are, am کو کہتےہیں جبکہ ماضی (past) میں اس کے لیے was/ were استعمال ہوتے ہیں۔

(2) Objective case:
It's also known as direct object of the verb, in this case a noun is used as the object of an action verb.
اسے فعل کے براہ راست آبجیکٹ(مفعول) کے طور پر بھی جانا جاتا ہے، اس صورت میں اسم کو فعل کے آبجیکٹ کے طور پر استعمال کیا جاتا ہے۔
Examples: (1) Ahmed plays cricket (2) she eats the meal(3)Alia washed the clothes (4) They paint the house.
مندرجہ بالا جملوں میں plays, eats, washed اور paint فعل (verbs) ہیں جبکہ cricket, meal, clothes اور house مفعول( Objects) ہیں۔

Noun cases:
(1) Subjective case: it's also called nominative Case. In this case, the noun is used as the subject of the verb or sentence.
اسم کی حالتیں:
(1) سبجیکٹو کیس: اسے nominative Case (حالت فاعلی) بھی کہا جاتا ہے۔ اس حالت میں، اسم، فعل یا جملے کے فاعل کے طور پر استعمال کیا جاتا ہے.
Examples:
(1) The Book is interesting (2) Ahmed is a boy.(3) There goes the hero (4) Is the boy here?
اوپر چار جملوں میں Table, Ahmad, The hero, boy فاعل کے طور پر کام کرتے ہیں۔
A noun does not need to come before a verb in subjective Case. It can also come after a verb but noun should be the subject of a sentence in this case.
Example
There goes the hero.
ایک اسم کو اس کیس میں فعل سے پہلے آنے کی ضرورت نہیں ہے۔ یہ فعل کے بعد بھی آسکتا ہے لیکن اسم اس حالت میں جملے کا فاعل ہونا چاہیے۔ مثلاً اوپر جملے میں "The hero" جو کہ Noun ہے فعل " Goes" کے بعد آیا ہے۔

Cases of noun:
The case of a noun shows the functions of a noun in sentence and it also shows that where a noun is placed in a sentence and what grammatical function it bear.
اسم کی حالت جملے میں اسم کے فعل( کام) کو ظاہر کرتا ہے اور یہ یہ بھی ظاہر کرتا ہے کہ اسم کو جملے میں کہاں رکھا گیا ہے اور گرامر کے کونسا کام سر انجام دیتا ہے۔
There are ten(10) cases of a noun:
(1) Subjective case/ Nominative Case (2) Objective case (3) Subjective complement, as a verb of incomplete predicate (4) Oblique case, an object of preposition (5) Vocative case, nominative of address (6) possessive case (7) The dative case, the indirect object of a verb (8) Objective complement (9) Appositive Case (10) Accompaniment case.
We'll discuss the above cases in detail tomorrow.
انشاللہ اوپر noun cases کل ہم تفصیل سے بیان کرے گے۔

Noun:
It is the name of person, place, thing or an idea.
Examples: Ahmed (person), Chakesar (place), Book (thing), Darkness (idea).
کسی شخص، جگہ یا چیز کے نام کو Noun(اسم) کہتے ہیں جیسے کہ احمد، چکیسر، کتاب، تاریکی وغیرہ اسم ہیں۔

Roots of a noun:
There's four roots of a noun which are the following:
(1) Cases of noun(2) Kinds of noun(3) Gender of noun(4) Number of noun(singular and plural forms of noun)
اسم ( Noun) کے چار Roots ( اساس/ جڑیں) ہیں جس میں ( noun cases), (kinds of noun), (Gender of noun), اور (Number of noun) شامل ہیں جو اگلے سبق میں ہم تفصیل سے پڑھئے گے۔

Parts of speech according to kinds: (1) Open class elements:
(a) Noun(b) verbs(c) Adjectives (d) Adverbs.
The above class allow grammatical change
(2): Closed class elements:
(a) Pronoun (b) Conjunction (c) Preposition (d) Interjection.
The above class allow no grammatical change.
اوپر ہم نے دو قسم کے parts of speech بیان کی ہے جس میں ایک open class ہے جس میں گرایمیٹکل تبدیلی ہوتی ہے جبکہ دوسرا قسم Closed class elements ہیں جس میں گرایمیٹکل تبدیلی نہیں ہوتی ہے
Examples of open class elements:
Beauty (noun) Beautify ( verb) Beautiful ( adjective) Beautifully( Adverb)
Examples of Closed class elements:
He, She,It ( pronouns) But, and, nor ,because ( conjunctions) In, on at,under ( Prepositions) Wow, Hurray, Alas ( Interjections).

Let's discuss parts of speech today:
آئیے آج اجزائے کلام کے کچھ پر بات کرتے ہیں:
Parts of speech:
Parts= means sections
Speech=means talking/ conversation

اجزائے کلام میں parts کا مطلب ہے حصے جبکہSpeech کا مطلب ہے بات کرنا/گفتگو
So parts of speech means sections of conversation.
پس parts of speech کا مطلب ہوا گفتگو کے حصے۔
Definition: It is one of the traditional classification of words that form our speech.
Number of parts of speech= Eight(8):
تعریف: یہ الفاظ کی روایتی یا قدیم درجہ بندی میں سے ایک ہے جو ہماری تقریر( گفتگوں) کو تشکیل دیتا ہے۔
اجزائے کلام کی تعداد کے لحاظ سے اٹھ(8) ہےجو کہ مندرجہ ذیل ہیں۔
(1) Noun (2) pronoun (3) Adjective (4) Adverb (5) verb (6) conjunction (7) Preposition (8) Interjection.
(1) اسم (2) اسم ضمیر (3) اسم صفت (4) متعلق فعل (5) فعل (6) حرف ربط (7) حروف جار (8) انٹرجیکشن۔
یعنی سادہ الفاظ میں "parts of speech" کا مطلب ہے کہ جو گفتگو/ باتیں ہم روز کرتے ہیں اس میں ہم یہ آٹھوں کسی نہ کسی طرح استعمال کرتے ہیں۔

Complement:
Everything that completes the meaning of a sentence known as complement.
ہر وہ چیز جو جملے کے معنی کو مکمل کرتی ہے کمپلینٹ کہلاتا ہے۔
A complement doesn't receive any action and not be called an object.
کمپلینٹ نہ کوئی کام موصول کرتاہے اور نہ ہی یہ object (مفعول) ہوتا ہے۔
Examples:
(1) Ali is a teacher. (2) I have a car. (3) she goes to school.
In the above sentences 'a teacher, 'a car' and 'to school are complements because these words complete the meaning of the above sentences.
مندرجہ بالا جملوں میں a teacher, a car, to school کمپلینٹ ہے جو صرف معنی کی تکمیل کرتی ہے۔

OBJECT:
An object receive the action performed by the subject and it can be called a complement.
ایک مفعول، فاعل کے کام کو موصول کرتاہے اور اسے کمپلینٹ بھی کہا جاسکتا ہے۔
Examples:
He writes a letter. (2) she eats a mango. (3) I teach English.
In above sentences the words" a letter"," a mango"and " english" are objects or complement because these words are also complete the meaning of sentences.
اوپر جملوں میں a letter, a mango, English آبجیکٹ یا کمپلینٹ ہے کیونکہ یہ فقروں کا مفہوم مکمل کرتی ہے۔

Sentence:
A group of words which give a complete meaning or sense known as sentence.
Examples: (1)Ali is a boy. (2) He writes a letter. (3) she is playing cricket etc.
جملہ: الفاظ کا مجموعہ جو ایک مکمل معنی یا مفہوم دیتا ہوں جملہ کہلاتا ہے اوپر دیئے گئے تین جملے ہیں یعنی علی ایک لڑکا ہے، (2) وہ خط لکھتا ہے (3) وہ کرکٹ کھیلتی ہے۔
A sentence has two parts: Subject and predicate:
Subject: A subject is a person or thing, who is performing an action.
فاعل جملے میں ایک شخص یا چیز ہوتا ہے جو کوئی کام کر رہا ہوں۔
Predicate: It is the part of sentence which talk about the subject.
یہ جملے کا حصہ ہے جو فاعل کے بارے میں بات کرتا ہے۔
Let consider the above sentences:
آئیے مندرجہ بالا جملوں پر غور کریں۔
Ali is a boy
اس جملے علی فاعل( کام کرنے والا) ہے جبکہ is a boy اس جملے میں predicate ہے جو فاعل علی کے بارے میں بات کرتا ہے اسی طرح He writes a letter میں He فاعل جبکہ writes a letter ایک predicate ہےجو علی کے بارے میں بات کرتا ہے۔

Difference between a phrase and clause:
Pharse:
A group of words that may not have a subject or verb with no particular meaning.
Examples: (1) In the room (2) Goes to school (3) under the chair etc.
الفاظ کا ایک مجموعہ جس کا کوئی فاعل(کام کرنے والا) یا فعل(جو کام ہو رہا ہو) نہ ہو اور کوئی خاص معنی بھی نہ رکھتا ہو phrase کہلاتا ہے۔
مثالیں: (1) کمرے میں (2) اسکول جاتی ہے (3) کرسی کے نیچے وغیرہ۔
Clause:
A group of words having a subject and a verb that form a part of a sentence.
Examples: If you help me, I will help you.
In the above sentence there is two clause (1) If you help me" and the second one is " I will help you" both parts have a subject and a verb but the first part doesn't have a complete meaning because it starts from subordinate conjunction and is known as subordinate clause and the second part is giving complete meaning known as a sentence or independent clause.
کلاز:
الفاظ کا ایک مجموعہ جس میں ایک فاعل اور ایک فعل ہوتا ہے جو جملے کا ایک حصہ بناتا ہے کلاز کہلاتا ہے۔
(If you help me) (I will help you)
مندرجہ بالا جملے کے دو کلاز ہیں (1) اگر آپ میری مدد کریں گے" اور دوسرا ہے "میں آپ کی مدد کروں گا" دونوں حصوں میں ایک فاعل اور ایک فعل ہے۔ پہلے حصے میں 'you'فاعل جبکہ 'help' فعل ہے لیکن پہلا حصہ مکمل معنی نہیں رکھتا کیونکہ یہ 'If' سے شروع ہوتا ہے جو "subordinate conjunction" ہے جو فقرے کا معنی مکمل نہیں ہونے دیتا اور دوسرا حصہ مکمل معنی دے رہا ہے جو کہ sentence یا Independent clause کہلاتا ہے۔
So the basic difference between a phrase and clause is that a pharse sometime have a subject or verb but both subject and verb doesn't come together but a clause always have a subject and verb.
لہذا ایک phrase اور clause کے درمیان بنیادی فرق یہ ہے کہ ایک phrase میں کبھی کبھی ایک فاعل یا فعل ہوتا ہے لیکن فاعل اور فعل دونوں ایک ساتھ نہیں آتے ہیں لیکن ایک clause میں ہمیشہ ایک فاعل اور فعل موجود ہوتا ہے۔
