The University of Sufism and Modern Sciences, Bhit Shah, successfully organized the Need Cum Merit Zakat Scholarship Cheque Distribution Ceremony on 18 June 2026 at the Conference Hall of the University.
The ceremony was graced by Prof. Dr. Imamuddin Khoso, Vice Chancellor, University of Sufism and Modern Sciences, Bhit Shah, as the Chief Guest. In his address, the Vice Chancellor emphasized the University's commitment to supporting deserving and talented students through financial assistance programs and encouraged students to continue striving for academic excellence.
The ceremony was also attended by Mr. Kashif Ali Memon, Chairman Zakat Committee Matiari, along with Mr. Ameer Bux Khokhar and Mr. Dhani Bux Siyal from the Zakat Department Matiari.

Scholarship cheques were distributed among deserving students selected under the Need Cum Merit Zakat Scholarship Scheme. The initiative reflects the University's dedication to ensuring that financial constraints do not hinder students from pursuing higher education.
The Chief Guest and other distinguished participants appreciated the efforts of the Student Welfare Office and the Zakat Department in facilitating the scholarship process and providing timely support to deserving students.

Students of the University of Sufism and Modern Sciences, Bhitshah received Minority Scholarship Cheques under the scholarship program of the Minority Affairs Department, Government of Sindh. The cheques were distributed by Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Imamuddin Khoso.
On the occasion, Student Welfare Officer Syed Wasif Ali Shah and Mr. Areeb Qureshi were also present and congratulated the scholarship recipients. The scholarship aims to support deserving minority students in pursuing their academic studies and achieving their educational goals

6th Academic Council Meeting Held at USMS Bhitshah

The 6th Academic Council Meeting of the University of Sufism and Modern Sciences (USMS), Bhitshah was successfully held on Friday, 12th June 2026, in the Conference Hall of the University. The meeting was chaired by the worthy Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Imamuddin Khoso, who presided over the proceedings and emphasized the importance of academic excellence, quality assurance, and alignment with the Higher Education Commission (HEC) policies and guidelines. After ascertaining the minimum quorum requirement, the chair permitted the secretary to proceed with the meeting.
During the meeting, various academic matters were deliberated upon and discussed in detail. The agenda primarily focused on the adoption and implementation of HEC policies to further strengthen the academic and administrative framework of the University. Important discussions were also held regarding the modifications in credit hours of MS/MPhil degree programs in different disciplines.
The meeting was attended by distinguished external members of the Academic Council, including Prof. Dr. Ahmed Sultan B. Jatoi, Eminent Person, Academic Council, and Prof. Dr. Kamal Haider, Eminent Person, Academic Council, whose valuable academic insights contributed significantly to the deliberations.

The Academic Council extensively reviewed matters pertaining to academic regulations, quality enhancement, curriculum development, and future academic planning in line with national higher education standards. The forum reiterated its commitment to promoting a culture of academic excellence, research, innovation, and institutional development at the University.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Vice Chancellor appreciated the valuable contributions and active participation of all members and expressed optimism that the decisions taken during the meeting would further strengthen the academic standing and institutional growth of the University .

On the directives of Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Imamuddin Khoso, Mr. Atta Muhammad Chopan, Deputy Director ORIC, represented the University of Sufism and Modern Sciences and participated in the Ecosystem Roundtable 2026 organized by SEIC.
Mr. Chopan engaged in discussions with ORICs, BICs, HEC representatives, and other ecosystem stakeholders to promote collaboration, innovation, and entrepreneurship. Such engagements strengthen institutional partnerships and contribute to building a vibrant research, innovation, and entrepreneurship ecosystem in Pakistan.

Participation of University of Sufism and Modern Sciences Bhitshah in NBEAC 13th Deans and Directors Conference.

Academic excellence remains a top priority of the University of Sufism and Modern Sciences (USMS), Bhitshah. Recognizing the importance of maintaining strong liaison with key stakeholders, accreditation bodies, and higher education regulators, the Vice Chancellor, Imamuddin Khoso, nominated Akhtiar Ali, Director Academics, to represent the University at the NBEAC 13th Deans and Directors Conference held at the Islamabad Marriott Hotel.

During the conference, Dr. Akhtiar Ali actively participated in discussions focused on emerging challenges and opportunities in higher education, particularly the growing role of Artificial Intelligence in business education. He also held meetings with representatives of the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan accreditation team to discuss various academic matters and seek guidance on quality assurance, accreditation, and academic development initiatives.

Such conferences provide valuable opportunities for universities to engage with academic leaders, policymakers, and accreditation experts, enabling institutions to align their strategic objectives with national and international quality standards. The knowledge and insights gained from these engagements will contribute significantly to the planning and ex*****on of the University's academic and institutional development goals.

Prof. Dr. Imamuddin Khoso, Vice Chancellor of University of Sufism and Modern Sciences Bhitshah, paid a surprise visit to the construction site and appreciated the ongoing progress of the project. He expressed his satisfaction with the pace and quality of work being carried out.

While reviewing the site activities, he appreciated the Engineering Team for their professionalism and commitment to maintaining quality standards. He advised the team to finalize the construction work within schedule so that new academic session may be shifted to new building.

Administration Block Ground Floor Roof Pouring Successfully Completed.
The roof pouring work for the Ground Floor of the Administration Block has been successfully carried out at the University of Sufism and Modern Sciences (USMS), Bhitshah.
This incremental progress is showing commitment of Worthy Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Imamuddin Khoso.
The ex*****on was meticulously managed on-site under the direct supervision of Project Director Engr. Faheem Ahmed Soomro, Engr. Khalid Sarwar, and Engr. Zeeshan Khaldi, alongside the dedicated and tireless efforts of the entire project team.

On the directive of the Worthy Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr. Imamuddin Khoso, the Office of Research, Innovation, and Commercialization (ORIC) at the University of Sufism and Modern Sciences (USMS), Bhitshah, successfully hosted the Pakistan Navy Publicity Campaign today, May 20, 2026. The seminar aimed to educate students on the recruitment process, benefits, and career trajectories of Commissioned Officers.
​The session was smoothly moderated by Mr. Atta Muhammad Chopan (Deputy Director ORIC). During the seminar, Mr. Zahid Ali Khaskheli (Officer Incharge
Pakistan Navy recruitment and Selection Center Shahed Benzir Abad) delivered a comprehensive and detailed presentation, outlining the step-by-step induction process and eligibility criteria for aspiring candidates.
​A highlight of the event was the address by Commodore Faisal Iqbal Qazi SI(M), who currently serves as Commandant and Principal of Cadet College Petaro. He spoke to the students, sharing invaluable insights and inspiring them to pursue a life of leadership and service in the armed forces.
​Earlier in the program, Dr. Ali Raza Rang welcomed the distinguished guests on behalf of the Worthy Vice Chancellor, emphasizing the university's commitment to providing robust career pathways for its students. Following the informative briefing, Director Academics Dr. Akhtiar Ali presented a token of appreciation to the Pakistan Navy representatives, solidifying the mutual cooperation between our institution and the national defense forces.
