‘I am Laila Khan, an 11 years old young girl from Leadership School, studying in grade 5 level 8. I have 8 siblings and we all love to live together in our house. Before TAKMIL, I never thought of studying and going to school. I used to stay at home, take care of my siblings, cook food and help my mother with home chores. I always wanted to do something for myself and for my family but had no opportunities. Then, my close friends, Sajida, Iqra, and Nadia told me about the establishment of a female school in our area. It was very exciting news for me but I felt many difficulties convincing my parents about it. In our village, parents do not allow their daughters to go to school and acquire an education. My father also hesitated in letting me go. But the great thing is that the school is only for girls and it helps me to overcome all the hurdles. In fact, it was a great blessing for me. It convinced my parents and they finally let me go to school. Another hurdle that I faced was the thought of paying fees for my education every month. My parents were not in the position of paying fees for my education but by the will of Allah and our mentors, TAKMIL provided free education along with books, stationery, and uniform.
TAKMIL solved all my problems and now I am happily going to school. Urdu is my favorite subject because it is our national language. In my opinion, we all should learn it. As long as my future is concerned, I want to become a teacher. I want to teach the children of my village in the future and want to be a great teacher just like Ms. Gulzadi. She is the best person who not only teaches us but also treats us like a mother. I am blessed to have teachers like her. My school has a very friendly environment and we all live like a family. I love my school, friends, and teachers.’ Thank you TAKMIL
