Department of Mathematics, The Islamia University of Bahawalpur, conducted the M.Phil Viva/Voce exam at 11:00 am on 5th May (Wednesday), 2021 in hybrid mode (online and onsite).
M.Phil scholars, Saleha Zahoor and Hira Fatima completed research work and thesis under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Ghulam Mustafa, Chairman, Department of Mathematics IUB.
The external examiner, Dr. Abdul Shakoor, Assistant Professor, Khwaja Fareed University of Engineering and Information Technology (KFUEIT), attended the Viva/Voce exam online while faculty members and students attended the Viva/Voce exam in hybrid mode (online and onsite).

Today, it was public defense of Miss Pakeeza Ashraf, the member of CAGD group under the supervision of Dr. Ghulam Mustafa . It was held in Science auditorium, Faculty of Science. The external examiners were Prof. Dr. Zawwar Hussain form Punjab University Lahore and Dr. Muhammad Faheem Khan from University of Sargodha. It was an outstanding presentation from miss Pakeeza Ashraf. It is a great achievement for her. Congratulation to Dr. Ghulam Mustafa for producing 4th PhD.

The Islamia University of Bahawalpur Ph. D. Open Defense in the Department of Mathematics
A Ph. D. scholar, Pakeeza Ashraf of the Department of Mathematics, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur is going to defend her Ph.D. thesis on Monday, February 23, 2015 in the Department of Mathematics, Baghdad-ul-Jadeed Campus at 10:00 AM. Ms. Pakeeza Ashraf completed her research project under supervision of Dr. Ghulam Mustafa, Associate Professor, Department of Mathematics, IUB and the topic of her thesis is, “Subdivision Schemes and their Applications in Geometric Modeling”. Dr. Muhammad Faheem Khan, Department of Mathematics, University of Sargodha and Prof. Dr. Malik Zawar Hussain, Department of Mathematics, University of Punjab Lahorewill be the external examiners. Teachers, M.Phil, Ph.D. scholars and students are invited to attend the defense.

SITUATION VACCANT
Applications are invited from suitable candidates for contractual appointment for Higher Education Commission Islamabad funded research project entitled”Generation of mask, analysis, model selection and assessment for (n+1)-point m-ary univariate and bivariate subdivision schemes”. The required qualification, period of appointment and the honoraria against each position are given as under

Position Vacant: Research Associate
Qualification Required: PhD students of Computational Mathematics (Specific field: Geometric Modeling)
Period of Appointment: 36 Months/Three years
Honorarium Rs. 20,000 Per Month fixed

The applicant must submit their application on plain paper along with their CV’s, attested copies of testimonials, certificates, CNIC, domicile and passport size photograph in the office of Dr. Ghulam Mustafa, Department of Mathematics, The Islamia University of Bahawalpur, upto 14th of January, 2015 during office hours. Only short listed candidates will be called for interview. Application received after the last date will not be entertained, even though posted before the last date, incomplete applications will not be entertained.
Note: Provision of Honorarium will be subjected to the release of funds from HEC and research progress of research associates, any constraint in the release of grant and unsatisfactory research progress of research associate will result in the cancellation of the said post/contract.
