The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has declared a week-long spring break for educational institutions across the province.

As per a notification from the Elementary and Secondary Education Department, both government and private schools will remain closed from April 1 to 8.

With Eid holidays anticipated from April 9 to 14, students are expected to enjoy a stretch of 14 consecutive days off.

It's noteworthy that these holidays apply solely to students, as principals, head teachers, and administrative staff are required to adhere to their regular schedules.

Additionally, the education department has emphasized the presence of other school staff for new student admissions and free book distributions.

In a separate update, the Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) has unexpectedly modified the spring break schedule for educational institutions in Islamabad.

According to the latest announcement, the spring break will be observed from April 8 to 12, with the new academic session set to commence from April 15.

The Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) Islamabad has officially released the examination schedule for Intermediate students for the year 2024.
As per the announcement, the 1st-year and 2nd-year exams are set to commence on April 30, 2024.
The morning session exams will start at 9:00 AM and conclude at noon, while the afternoon session exams will begin at 2:00 PM and end at 5:00 PM.
Furthermore, practical exams for intermediate students will kick off on May 23, 2024, with the detailed date sheet to be provided later.
Recently, FBISE has also made public its adoption of the National Curriculum of Pakistan 2022-23, as mandated by the Ministry of Federal Education & Professional Training, Government of Pakistan.
This curriculum update will come into effect starting from the academic year 2024 onwards. The FBISE has issued directives to all affiliated institutions regarding the implementation of the National Curriculum of Pakistan 2022-23.
