The Final Year Research Project Evaluation of BS Physics (8th Semester) was successfully held at the Institute of Physics, The Islamia University of Bahawalpur (IUB).

A panel of three distinguished judges thoroughly examined and reviewed all student projects and selected the top three projects based on their quality, innovation, and presentation. The judging panel comprised Dr. Muhammad Nasir Rasul, Dr. Syeda Rabia Ejaz from Government Sadiq College Women University, Bahawalpur, and Dr. Mehr-un-Nisa from Government Sadiq College Women University, Bahawalpur.

The event was also visited by Prof. Dr. Ghulam Mustafa, Dean, Faculty of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, and Prof. Dr. Altaf Hussain, Director, Institute of Physics, who appreciated the efforts of the students and faculty members.

The groups securing the top three positions were awarded certificates in recognition of their outstanding performance and research contributions.

The Institute of Physics was honored to welcome the Worthy Vice Chancellor of The Islamia University of Bahawalpur today. The Vice Chancellor attended a research presentation delivered by Dr. Saba Saeed and appreciated the Institute’s commitment to academic and research excellence.

دی اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی آف بہاولپور کے انسٹی ٹیوٹ آف فزکس سے انتہائی افسوس کے ساتھ اطلاع دی جاتی ہے کہ ڈاکٹر نصیب احمد، جو بابا گورونانک یونیورسٹی ننکانہ صاحب کے ہیڈ آف فزکس تھے، گزشتہ جمعہ کو ہمارے انسٹی ٹیوٹ میں ایک پی ایچ ڈی طالب علم کے وائیوا کے سلسلے میں تشریف لائے تھے۔ انا للہ و انا الیہ راجعون۔ افسوس کے ساتھ اطلاع دی جاتی ہے کہ وہ ایک حادثے میں جاں بحق ہو گئے ہیں۔ یہ واقعہ لاگر روڈ پر پیش آیا، جس میں ان کی بھابھی بھی وفات پا گئیں اور ان کے بھائی شکیل زخمی ہیں۔ ڈاکٹر نصیب نہایت مخلص، بااخلاق اور انسان دوست شخصیت تھے۔ یہ سانحہ ہماری تعلیمی کمیونٹی کے لیے بہت بڑا نقصان ہے۔ اللہ تعالیٰ مرحومین کو جنت الفردوس میں اعلیٰ مقام عطا فرمائے اور لواحقین کو صبر جمیل دے، نیز زخمی بھائی کی جلد صحت یابی کے لیے دعاگو ہیں

It is with great pride and pleasure that we extend our heartfelt congratulations to Mr. Majid Nadeem, a dedicated PhD scholar, on being awarded the prestigious IRSIP scholarship by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan. The Director of the Institute of Physics (IOP) personally congratulated Mr. Majid Nadeem and formally presented the award letter to the deserving scholar in recognition of his academic excellence and research potential.
This significant achievement will enable Mr. Majid Nadeem to join the Department of Physics at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM), Saudi Arabia, in the coming days, where he will further enhance his expertise and contribute to advanced research in the field of Physics.
We wish him continued success in this international academic endeavor and look forward to his valuable contributions upon his return.

An interactive session was conducted yesterday with the students of BS 7th and 8th semesters, attended by the Director and faculty members of the Institute of Physics.

The purpose of the session was to provide students with an open platform to share the academic, administrative, and research-related challenges they have faced during their BS program. Students actively participated and highlighted various issues along with constructive suggestions aimed at improving the overall quality of education and research activities.

The Director, along with faculty members, attentively listened to all concerns and carefully noted the feedback provided by the students. It was assured that all genuine issues and suggestions will be addressed appropriately to further enhance teaching standards, research environment, and student support within the institute.

The Institute of Physics remains committed to continuous improvement and highly values student feedback as an important component in strengthening academic excellence and research culture.
