The new system is secure, efficient, and user-friendly, enabling applicants to apply for attestation 24/7 from anywhere without visiting HEC offices or sending original documents. No photocopy of any educational document will be processed under the new system.
Applicants will receive secure e-Attestation Certificates through the system, which can be verified online along with the attested documents.
The online Degree Attestation System with e-Attestation Certificate has become effective from 11 May 2026.
Applicants who have already applied and paid the attestation fee under the previous system will continue to be processed through the existing method up to 30 June 2026. Applicants are advised to complete the process by the said date.
Those who have not yet paid the attestation fee in the previous system are advised to apply through the new system.

Thalassaemia is an inherited genetic blood disorder that impairs the body's ability to produce hemoglobin, the essential protein in red blood cells that carries oxygen throughout the body. This genetic anomaly leads to the excessive destruction of red blood cells, causing varying degrees of anemia, chronic fatigue, weakness, and, in severe cases, bone deformities and organ enlargement. The condition is primarily categorized into Alpha and Beta Thalassaemia. Its severity ranges from being a silent carrier (thalassaemia minor) to facing severe, life-threatening symptoms (thalassaemia major) that require lifelong blood transfusions.

El Niño is a major global climate phenomenon characterized by the unusual warming of surface waters in the central and eastern Pacific Ocean. This significant shift in ocean temperatures disrupts normal atmospheric circulation, leading to widespread changes in weather patterns across the globe, including severe and unpredictable climate events in South Asia and Pakistan.
In Pakistan, a Super El Niño typically brings extreme and volatile weather conditions. The country faces severe, prolonged heatwaves alongside periods of intense drought and water scarcity. During the monsoon season, the weather becomes highly erratic, often resulting in unusually heavy downpours that trigger severe urban flash flooding. These combined extremes—from scorching droughts to destructive floods—also lead to significantly reduced crop yields, threatening local agriculture and food security.
Prevention
Personal Safety
Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water throughout the day to prevent heat exhaustion.
Avoid Peak Sun: Stay indoors and avoid direct sunlight between 12:00 PM and 4:00 PM.
Dress Appropriately: Wear light, breathable clothing to stay cool.
Protect Your Skin: Always apply sunscreen when stepping outside.
Monitor Health: Keep a first-aid kit ready and keep a close eye on the health of children and the elderly.
Community Preparedness
Conserve Water: Use water sparingly to prepare for potential droughts and shortages.
Clear Drains: Work with your neighborhood to clean out gutters and drainage systems to prevent urban flooding during heavy rains.
Secure Crops: Farmers should take early, proactive steps to protect their crops from erratic weather.
Stay Informed: Regularly check for weather updates and warnings from the PMD and NDMA.
