🐝 World Bee Day | 15th August 2026 🌼
Bees may be tiny, but their role in our ecosystem is enormous. As important pollinators, they help support biodiversity and the food systems we depend on.
🐝 Did you know?
• Bees pollinate a large variety of flowering plants and many crops we rely on for food.
• Honeybees live in highly organized colonies where different bees have different roles.
• Bees communicate the location of food sources through movements known as the waggle dance.
This World Bee Day, let’s appreciate these incredible little pollinators and work towards protecting their habitats. 🌿

Today, we celebrate the strength, courage, and majesty of one of the world’s most iconic wild animals — the lion. But beyond their power and pride lies a species that needs our protection.
From habitat loss and human-wildlife conflict to illegal hunting, lions face growing threats in the wild. Protecting lions means protecting the ecosystems they call home and ensuring that future generations can witness these magnificent creatures in their natural world.

Moon bears are beautiful and intelligent creatures of the Asian forests, yet they continue to face threats from habitat loss, illegal hunting, and the wildlife trade.
This International Moon Bear Day, let’s raise awareness, protect their natural habitats, and stand against the exploitation of these incredible animals. Every effort towards their protection brings us closer to a future where moon bears can thrive in the wild. 🌿

🌿 World Clouded Leopard Day | 4th August 2026 🐆
Today, we celebrate one of nature's most fascinating and elusive wild cats—the Clouded Leopard. Known for its beautiful cloud-shaped markings and remarkable climbing abilities, this incredible species spends much of its life in the forest canopy, making it one of the best tree climbers among all wild cats.
Clouded leopards are found in the dense tropical and subtropical forests of South and Southeast Asia. As apex predators, they play an important role in maintaining healthy forest ecosystems. Unfortunately, habitat loss, deforestation, and illegal wildlife trade continue to threaten their survival.
On this World Clouded Leopard Day, let's raise our voices for the protection of forests, support wildlife conservation, and work towards a future where these magnificent cats can continue to thrive in the wild.

🐋🌍 WORLD SHARKS DAY 2026 🌍🦈
The IUB Animal Welfare Society proudly joins the global community in observing World Sharks Day on 14 July 2026, celebrating one of the ocean's most remarkable and misunderstood creatures.
Sharks have inhabited our oceans for over 400 million years, making them older than dinosaurs. As apex predators, they help maintain the balance of marine ecosystems by regulating prey populations and keeping the food chain healthy. Their presence is also an important indicator of a thriving and healthy ocean.
Despite their reputation, most shark species pose little to no threat to humans, while millions of sharks are lost each year due to overfishing, habitat destruction, and the shark fin trade. Protecting sharks means protecting the health and biodiversity of our oceans.
Let us raise awareness, support marine conservation, and encourage responsible actions to ensure these incredible animals continue to thrive for generations to come.
