The IUB Animal Welfare Society successfully organized the “Care and Compassion – First Aid Training Workshop on Animal Handling and Pet Care.” The event aimed to enhance students’ awareness, skills, and confidence in humane animal handling and basic first aid techniques.

Dr. Ayesha Masood (Co-Advisor) warmly welcomed the participants, appreciating their interest in animal welfare and responsible pet care.

The event was graced by Prof. Dr. Shehzad as the Chief Guest, who appreciated the initiative and emphasized the importance of humane handling and animal welfare education.

Dr. Musadiq Idris (Advisor, IUB Animal Welfare Society) expressed sincere thanks to all participants, organizers, and volunteer students for their active involvement and efforts in making the workshop productive and impactful.

The technical session was led by Master Trainer Dr. Fasih Ushan Ansari, who delivered an informative and hands-on demonstration on essential animal first aid and safe handling practices.

The IUB Animal Welfare Society extends gratitude to everyone who contributed to the smooth ex*****on of the event and looks forward to more such awareness and training activities in the future.

A World of Good Initiative is excited to announce our latest project, commencing early next year, which will focus on supporting the development of provincial animal welfare legislation in Pakistan.

We are grateful to Coefficient Giving (formerly Open Philanthropy) for their continued support of our collaborative work to improve animal welfare for farmed animals in Pakistan.

We look forward to launching this exciting initiative in 2026!

Proud moment for AWS IUB! 🎉
Our team represented the university with dedication at the CUVAS Pet Show, held on 26 November, at the CUVAS campus, with the valued collaboration of Dr. Fasih Ushan Ansari — a meaningful step toward bridging academic learning with real-world animal care.

The event brought unforgettable moments featuring canine, feline, avian, and exotic species, including different breeds of dogs, cats, birds, and pythons.

The pet show also showcased veterinary medicine stalls and premium cat food brands, offering students a rich learning experience in veterinary care, pet nutrition, and clinical products.

A heartfelt thank you to the organizers for the certificates, warm hospitality, and excellent collaboration.

World Animal Day was celebrated by the IUB Animal Welfare Society, in collaboration with the Faculty of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, IUB, with great enthusiasm and spirit.

Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran, Honourable Vice Chancellor of IUB, graced the occasion as Chief Guest and appreciated the efforts of the faculty and students for raising their voices for the voiceless.
Prof. Dr. Muhammad Khalid Mansoor, Dean FV&AS, commended the active participation of students and reaffirmed the faculty’s commitment to promoting animal welfare.
Dr. Musadiq Idris, Advisor of the IUB Animal Welfare Society, highlighted the significance of World Animal Day and emphasized our collective responsibility to ensure animal safety and well-being.
