🚨IUB Road Safety Awareness Society, in collaboration with City Traffic Police, successfully conducted the Mobile License Van Service to facilitate students.
The activity received an overwhelming response, with a large number of students participating and showing great interest. Students were provided with an opportunity to apply for and obtain their driving licenses conveniently on campus.
This initiative was a meaningful step towards promoting road safety, responsible driving, and compliance with traffic laws among the university community.
This student-facilitation initiative is being organized through the efforts of Dr. Shakil Akhtar, Advisor – IUB RSAS, along with Co-advisors Dr. Hira Riaz , Dr Zohaib bhukari,
Muhammad Aalishan, President -IUB RSAS along with their dedicated team and Inspector Shazia, Incharge Education Unit, District Traffic Police Bahawalpur.
We sincerely appreciate the support of City Traffic Police and the active participation of all students who contributed to the success of this initiative. 👏

*IUB Road Safety Awareness Society* is organizing a Mobile Driving License Facilitation Camp in collaboration with City Traffic Police Bahawalpur to promote road safety and facilitate students at the university.

The Mobile License Van will be available at Main Gate, near Security Office, Baghdad-ul-Jadeed Campus, IUB, on 17 September 2026 (Thursday), from 09:00 AM to 02:00 PM.

Through this initiative, students will be facilitated with Motorcycle Learner Licenses and Driving License services on the spot, enabling them to obtain the necessary legal documentation for riding on the road and to conveniently apply for the E-Bike Scheme.

This student-facilitation initiative is being organized through the efforts of Dr. Shakil Akhtar, Advisor – IUB RSAS, along with Co-advisors Dr. Hira Riaz , Dr Zohaib bhukari,
Muhammad Aalishan, President -IUB RSAS along with their dedicated team and Inspector Shazia, Incharge Education Unit, District Traffic Police Bahawalpur.

Road Safety Awareness Session for Women Riders Successfully Conducted at IUB

On August 29, 2026, at 8:00 AM, the IUB Road Safety Awareness Society, in collaboration with the Directorate of Student Affairs (DSA), The Islamia University of Bahawalpur, and Women Wheels Bahawalpur, successfully organized a meaningful Road Safety Awareness Session, with a special focus on Safe Scooty Riding for Women Riders. The session aimed to promote awareness among female students regarding safe, responsible, and defensive riding practices and highlighted essential aspects of road safety, including; Helmet Safety & Proper Use, the Importance of Side Mirrors, Proper Use of Lights—particularly during night riding—and the importance of Following Traffic Rules and Road Signs. The activity was graced by the presence of Dr. Asif Naveed Ranjha, Director Student Affairs; Ms. Ayesha Shaukat, Additional Director Student Affairs; Dr. Shakil Akhtar, Advisor, IUB Road Safety Awareness Society; Dr. Hira Riaz, Co-Advisor, IUB Road Safety Awareness Society; and Muhammad Aalishan, President, IUB Road Safety Awareness Society, whose presence and support added great value to the initiative. The awareness session was conducted in an engaging and interactive manner, providing the participating students with valuable knowledge and practical guidance on road safety and responsible riding. Following the session, the female participants were also given a guided tour of the university campus, where they were further sensitized about road safety, responsible mobility, and the importance of adopting safe practices while riding. This collaborative initiative reflected a shared commitment to empowering women riders with essential safety awareness and fostering a stronger culture of responsible road use within and beyond the university community. 🌸🛵🪖💙
