An Analytical Study of the Tradition of Urdu Ghazal in Khanpur
This research thesis, authored by Nazir Ahmad Bazmi and supervised by Prof. Dr. Rab Nawaz Kawish at NCBA&E, presents an analytical study of the tradition and development of Urdu Ghazal in Khanpur.

The study explores the historical, literary, and intellectual dimensions of Urdu Ghazal in the region, with particular emphasis on the emergence and evolution of its poetic tradition, prominent poets, major themes, stylistic characteristics, and literary contributions. It examines how the social, cultural, historical, and intellectual environment of Khanpur has influenced the expression and development of Urdu Ghazal.

The research also seeks to document the contributions of local poets and highlight the distinctive features of Khanpur's Urdu poetic tradition within the broader history of Urdu literature. Through critical analysis of selected poetic works, the study contributes to the preservation and scholarly understanding of the literary heritage of Khanpur.
