Hazrat Moulana Fakhruddin FakhrJahan Delhvi(rahmatullah alaih)(wisaal 1199 Hijri) was one of the most brilliant of Islamic scholars in India, as well as being one of the most popular of the Chishtia sufi saints. He was the son and khalifa of the famous saint of Aurangabad, Hazrat Khwaja Nizamuddin Wali Aurangabadi(rahmatullahi alaih). He was Siddiqui from his father side and Syed from his mother’s side.
When word of his birth reached Hazrat Shah Kalimullah Jahanbadi(rahmatullahi alaih) of Delhi, he personally named the child "Fakhruddin" and gave him a piece of his own kharqa. Hazrat Shah Kalimullah also imparted the title "Moulana" to the
newborn, and foretold that he would be a great scholar and saint. His mazar is located near the mazar of Hazrat Khwaja Qutubuddin Bakhtiyar Kaki(rahmatullah alaih) in Delhi, India.
