Descriptive Adjectives

This large class includes several kinds of words:-
Simple Adjectives express quality. They relate to colour, size, smell, shapes, time, etc. such as red, rectangular, safe, deep, fair, mediocre, rash, beautiful, remotest, monthly, happy, sad, terrible, etc.
Compound Adjectives, made up of various words thrown together to make descriptive epithets; as, "Heaven-derived power," "this life-giving book," "his spirit wrapt and wonder-struck," "ice-cold water," "half-dead traveller," "unlooked-for burden," "next-door neighbour," "ivory-handled pistols," "the cold-shudder-inspiring Woman in White", etc.
Proper Adjectives, derived from proper nouns; as, “an old English manuscript,” Pakistani, Indian, European, Asian, etc.
Participle Adjectives, which are either pure participles used to describe, or participles which
Present participial adjective is formed from a verb using the present participle or “-ing” form of the verb; as, healing, shattering, trailing, boring, amazing, astonishing, charming, etc.
Past participial adjective indicates a past or completed action or time. It is formed from a verb using the perfect aspect and the passive voice; as, bored, confused, amazed, etc.

The following collective nouns can be singular or plural. It depends on how they are regarded. Viewed as a single unit, it takes a singular verb; viewed as a group of separate members or parts, it is treated as a plural noun and used with a plural verb. A singular verb is generally preferred in American English. A plural verb is used more frequent in British English, especially with the words ‘government’ and ‘public’.
The government is planning many changes. (American)
The government are planning many changes. (British)

What is English Grammar?

The shorter answer is that it’s a set, or body, of rules that is used to determine the construction of the English Language. Much more could be said about it but, frankly, it’s not necessary. After all, you don’t need to know the intricate details of the INTERNET in order to use it properly, do you? Likewise, English Grammar
You could say that grammar is the combination, or synthesis, of the building blocks of language. Things like syntax1, phrases, clauses and sentences – made up of words – are all parts of English Grammar.

DEFINITION:
Not to mention or think of somebody or something.
(This phrase is used after negative sentence.)

SENTENCES:
• The baby can’t even sit up yet, let alone walk.
بچی تو ابھی اُٹھ کر بیٹھ بھی نہیں سکتی، چلنا تو دور کی بات۔
• Some people don’t even read newspaper, let alone a book.
کچھ لوگ تو اخبار تک نہیں پڑھتے، کتاب تو دور کی بات۔
• I didn’t invite Ali, let alone the rest of his family.
میں نے تو علی کو دعوت نہیں دی، اس کی فیملی تو دور کی بات۔

Objects noted for their power, strength, and violence are used as Masculine gender nouns.
The sun, summer, time, death etc. are masculine-gender nouns.
The sun is so scorching now that we cannot go out now to face him without an umbrella.
The death is cruel. He is as certain as tomorrow.
In these sentences the words “sun” and “death” have been used as Masculine-gender nouns.
Objects noted for their beauty, gentleness and grace are used as feminine-gender nouns.
The moon, the earth, spring, charity etc… are feminine-gender nouns.
The moon is so bright at this time that she induces romantic mood in us.
The earth is patient. Her beauty is spoiled day-by-day.

Compound Relative Pronouns
Pronouns formed by adding ever, so, or soever to who, which and what are called Compound Relative Pronouns. They are: - Whoever, whoso, whosoever; whichever; whatever, whatsoever. These Relatives have no antecedent expressed.
Whosoever (any and every person who) exalteth himself shall be abased.
Whoso diggeth a pit shall fall therein.
Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might.
The forms whoever, whichever, and whatever are now ordinarily used; as,
Whoever (i.e., any person who) comes is welcome.
I will buy whichever you think well.
I will take with me whomsoever you choose.
Whatever (i.e., anything which) he does, he does well.
