Mallot Educational Trust A Trust for Public Charitable Objects, more particularly to provide and enhance educational environment in Mallot, District Bagh, Azad Kashmir.

To establish, maintain and develop a CENTRAL PUBLIC LIBRARY and reading rooms at Mallot Centre and to establish, maintain and keep in working condition Information Technology Centres for the use and benefit of general public of Mallot Centre and its adjoining/surrounding villages. To give financial aid and assistance to all such set ups if commensurate with the objects of this Trust and within the means, powers and jurisdiction of its Trustees. To establish, maintain and provide studentships, scholarships and stipendships to shining students and to patronize, encourage and accommodate needy students by providing to them syllabus books, stationery and incentive medals with a view to creating interest in education and sense of competition amongst the individual students. To promote, support and encourage by providing grants, help and assistance to forums for the promotion of science, literature, culture and to give aid, relief and assistance to institutions involved in providing education, recreation and rehabilitation to mentally or physically retarded/handicapped students or people.

MALLOT READING COMMUNITY

Mallot Central Public Library is a project of Mallot Educational Trust, located in the commercial centre of Mallot Bazaar, Bagh AJK which is accessed by residents of numerous surrounding villages including Bangran and Jaglary. The readership of the Library include several students from these villages who study in government and private schools located in Central Mallot. These students have no access to a Library within their educational institution hence Mallot Central Public Library is the only source of books for them.

ملوٹ سینٹرل پبلک لائبریری ملوٹ بازار، باغ آزاد جموں و کشمیر کے تجارتی مرکز میں واقع ہے، جہاں بنگراں اور جاگلڑی سمیت متعدد قریبی دیہات کے رہائشی آتے ہیں۔ لائبریری کے قارئین میں ان دیہات کے کئی ایسے طلبہ شامل ہیں جو سینٹرل ملوٹ میں واقع سرکاری اور نجی اسکولوں میں زیرِ تعلیم ہیں۔ ان طلبہ کو اپنے تعلیمی اداروں کے اندر کسی لائبریری تک رسائی حاصل نہیں ہے، اس لیے ملوٹ سینٹرل پبلک لائبریری ہی ان کے لیے کتابوں کا واحد ذریعہ ہے۔

READERS OF MALLOT CENTRAL PUBLIC LIBRARY

Professor Abdul Haq, retired Principal and former Managing Trustee of Mallot Educational Trust is a frequent visitor to the Mallot Central Public Library. He is a resident of Mallot, Bagh AJK and is an avid reader. His favourite books to read are biographies and since the Library contains numerous biographies in its collection making it possible for Prof. Abdul Haq to issue them. During this meeting of readers he gave his views about developing and encouraging a consistent habit of reading and how this will develop greater awareness in the reader.

میلوٹ سینٹرل پبلک لائبریری کے قارئین

پروفیسر عبدالحق، ریٹائرڈ پرنسپل اور میلوٹ ایجوکیشنل ٹرسٹ کے سابق مینیجنگ ٹرسٹی، میلوٹ سینٹرل پبلک لائبریری کے ایک مستقل قاری ہیں۔ وہ میلوٹ، باغ آزاد جموں و کشمیر کے رہائشی ہیں اور مطالعے کا بے حد شوق رکھتے ہیں۔ سوانح عمری (سوانح حیات) ان کی پسندیدہ کتب ہیں، اور چونکہ لائبریری کے ذخیرے میں کثیر تعداد میں سوانح عمریاں موجود ہیں، اس لیے پروفیسر عبدالحق کے لیے انہیں اپنے نام جاری کروانا ممکن ہو پاتا ہے۔ قارئین کے اس اجلاس کے دوران، انہوں نے مطالعے کی مستقل عادت ڈالنے اور اس کی حوصلہ افزائی کرنے کے حوالے سے اپنے خیالات کا اظہار کیا، اور یہ بھی بتایا کہ یہ عمل کس طرح قاری میں وسیع تر آگاہی اور شعور پیدا کرے گا۔

READERS OF MALLOT CENTRAL PUBLIC LIBRARY:

Students studying in Mallot have been accessing Mallot Central Public Library ever since it opened its doors nearly 2 decades ago. They have access to the reading areas of the Library and some issue books of their choice to read at home. There is a large collection of urdu as well as english literature in the Library. In this testimonial a student shares her details about her favourite reads and the impact those have had on her.

مالوٹ میں تعلیم حاصل کرنے والے طلبہ تقریباً دو دہائیاں قبل اس کے قیام کے وقت سے ہی مالوٹ سینٹرل پبلک لائبریری سے استفادہ کر رہے ہیں۔ انہیں لائبریری میں مطالعہ کی سہولیات تک رسائی حاصل ہے اور کچھ طلبہ گھر پر پڑھنے کے لیے اپنی پسند کی کتابیں بھی جاری کرواتے ہیں۔ لائبریری میں اردو کے ساتھ ساتھ انگریزی ادب کا بھی ایک بڑا ذخیرہ موجود ہے۔ اس تعریفی تاثر (testimonial) میں ایک طالبہ اپنی پسندیدہ کتابوں اور ان کے اپنے اوپر ہونے والے اثرات کے بارے میں اپنی تفصیلات شیئر کر رہی ہیں۔

READERS OF MALLOT CENTRAL PUBLIC LIBRARY

Mr. Sarfaraz Khan who by profession is a Teacher and resident of Chour, District Bagh, AJK has been accessing the Mallot Central Public Library for a decade and has read close to a thousand books from the Library's collection. He encourages his children to also use the Library and issues children's books for his young son as well as obtains books for his wife to read. Here he shares his views about reading and the kinds of books he has enjoyed reading over the years from the Library.

جناب سرفراز خان، جو پیشے کے لحاظ سے ایک استاد ہیں اور چور، ضلع باغ، آزاد جموں و کشمیر (AJK) کے رہائشی ہیں، گزشتہ ایک دہائی سے میلوٹ سینٹرل پبلک لائبریری کا رخ کر رہے ہیں اور لائبریری کے ذخیرے سے تقریباً ایک ہزار کتابیں پڑھ چکے ہیں۔ وہ اپنے بچوں کو بھی لائبریری استعمال کرنے کی ترغیب دیتے ہیں اور اپنے چھوٹے بیٹے کے لیے بچوں کی کتابیں جاری کروانے کے ساتھ ساتھ اپنی اہلیہ کے مطالعے کے لیے بھی کتابیں حاصل کرتے ہیں۔ یہاں وہ مطالعہ کے بارے میں اپنے خیالات اور ان کتابوں کی اقسام کا ذکر کر رہے ہیں جن سے وہ گزشتہ برسوں کے دوران لائبریری میں لطف اندوز ہوتے رہے ہیں۔

PEOPLE AND READERS OF MALLOT, Bagh AJK

Mr. M. Shafait, resident of Jheer, Ghaniabad, Bagh AJK went to the Mallot Central Public Library and issued a book of his choice to read while he runs his haberdashery shop in the Mallot Bazaar.....the Library not only provides a reading area within its purpose built premises but also permits issuance of books which are taken home by locals like Mr. Shafait who will return the book after completing it.

Our students began their course in the Mallot IT Centre without any prior knowledge about computers so their instructeresses began the course by getting them acquainted with basic terminologies associated with the equipment being used.

ہمارے طالب علموں نے کمپیوٹر کے بارے میں کسی بھی پیشگی معلومات کے بغیر ملوٹ آئی ٹی سینٹر میں اپنے کورس کا آغاز کیا، اس لیے ان کی معلمات نے استعمال ہونے والے آلات سے وابستہ بنیادی اصطلاحات سے انہیں واقف کروا کر کورس کا آغاز کیا۔

APPRECIATING READERS OF MALLOT

Mr. M. Shafait, Mallot shop owner and resident of Ghaniabad, Jheer, Bagh AJK was appreciated as a reader for his consistent use of Mallot Central Public Library's facilities. His favourite genere of books are biographies and those containing historical information. Here he explains how the existence of the Library in Mallot has provided him access to books. For Mr. Shafait reading has positively contributed towards his mental health. Alongside exercise, his reading habit has improved the state of his mind. He emphasises upon the younger population of Mallot and its surrounding areas to develop the habit of reading and not to seek their information solely from social media.

ملوٹ کے دکاندار اور غنی آباد (جھیر، باغ آزاد جموں و کشمیر) کے رہائشی، جناب ایم شفائت کی ملوٹ سینٹرل پبلک لائبریری کی سہولیات کا باقاعدگی سے استعمال کرنے پر بطور قاری حوصلہ افزائی کی گئی۔

READERS OF MALLOT CENTRAL PUBLIC LIBRARY

Dr. M. Munsif Khan is a resident of Kafalgarh Village, Bagh AJK which is located close to Mallot, Bagh AJK. He is a Paediatrician and continues to practice medicine in the area. As a frequent visitor to the Mallot Public Library for over a decade he has been issuing books to read. He shares here his views about the kinds of books he reads and how the habit of reading has not only enhanced his know but also improved his overall quality of life. He recommends developing the Library collection further by adding books in the Pahari language in order to promote a sense of pride in local culture.

مالوٹ سینٹرل پبلک لائبریری کے قارئین

ڈاکٹر ایم منصف خان کفالگڑھ گاؤں، باغ آزاد جموں و کشمیر کے رہائشی ہیں جو مالوٹ، باغ آزاد جموں و کشمیر کے قریب واقع ہے۔ وہ بچوں کے ماہرِ امراض (پیڈیاٹریشن) ہیں اور اس علاقے میں اپنی طبی پریکٹس جاری رکھے ہوئے ہیں۔ ایک دہائی سے زیادہ عرصے سے مالوٹ پبلک لائبریری میں اکثر آنے جانے والے کے طور پر وہ پڑھنے کے لیے کتابیں جاری کرواتے رہے ہیں۔

وہ یہاں اپنے پڑھنے کی کتابوں کی اقسام کے بارے میں اپنے خیالات شیئر کرتے ہیں اور یہ بھی بتاتے ہیں کہ کس طرح مطالعہ کی عادت نے نہ صرف ان کے علم میں اضافہ کیا ہے بلکہ ان کے معیارِ زندگی کو بھی بہتر بنایا ہے۔

وہ مقامی ثقافت پر فخر کے احساس کو فروغ دینے کے لیے پہاڑی زبان میں کتابیں شامل کر کے لائبریری کے ذخیرے کو مزید وسعت دینے کی سفارش کرتے ہیں۔
