COMSATS University Islamabad Achieves Full Digital Transformation 🌱

Alhamdulillah, COMSATS University Islamabad has become the first public sector university in Pakistan to roll out a complete Digital Governance System.

Under the leadership of Rector Prof. Dr. Raheel Qamar, the university modernized its administrative, academic, and office operations within the first 6 months:

- E-ACR for online employee performance reviews
- EFS for a fully paperless document workflow
- SMARTSELECT to manage HR records and tracking
- THESISFLOW to oversee student research and academic timelines
- ORBIT for university-wide governance
- MEETINGSPHERE to digitize meeting records and decisions

The move has eliminated thousands of paper documents, saving time and resources while improving transparency, efficiency, and environmental sustainability.

As part of the reforms, employee confidential reports are now fully digital, and long-pending promotions for 706 staff members have been processed.

HEC has approved the Policy on Dual, Double & Joint Degree Programmes, creating new opportunities for Pakistani universities to partner with international institutions and offer globally connected learning pathways.

🌿 COMSATS University Islamabad goes further digital, for a greener, paperless future!

In line with the vision of Rector Prof. Dr. Raheel Qamar to build a green, sustainable, zero‑carbon campus, COMSATS University Islamabad has officially launched its Electronic Annual Confidential Report (E‑ACR) System.

Just weeks after rolling out the Electronic Filing System (EFS), SmartSelect, Thesis Flow, Orbit, and Meeting Sphere, the university is now moving faculty, officers, and staff appraisal processes fully online.

🗂️ On Meeting Sphere: all agendas, minutes, and action taken reports of the last five years from key statutory bodies (BOS, BOF, AC, BASAR, SENATE, SYNDICATE, etc.) are already available for members.

🎯 The goal: enhance institutional efficiency, ensure transparency, and drastically cut paper use, a major step toward a truly paperless university.

✅ All faculty (OG/TTS/Fixed Salary), officers, and staff members are requested to fill and submit their appraisal forms online through the new E‑ACR System.

A strong move from towards digital governance and environmental responsibility.
