On May 18, 2026, the Deputy Director of National Commission for Human Development, Mr. Shahzad Hussain Hashmi, along with the Assistant Director of the Literacy Department, met with the Principal of University of Education, Professor Dr. Muhammad Abid Zia. During the meeting, detailed discussions were held regarding the promotion of education and increasing the literacy rate.
On this occasion, a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed between the two institutions, under which the students of the University of Education will actively participate in the “Each One Teach One (EOTO)” campaign and play an effective role in promoting education within society.
During the meeting, a focal person was also appointed to ensure the effective and organized implementation of the program and to strengthen coordination between both institutions.
The participants expressed their commitment to continuing joint efforts for the eradication of illiteracy and the promotion of educational activities through mutual cooperation.
This collaboration was described as an important step forward toward the promotion of education and social development.

The Degree Distribution Ceremony was held at the UE Attock Campus. The Worthy Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Aqif Anwar Chaudhry, graced the occasion, addressed the graduates, and distributed degrees.

On 27th October 2025, the University of Education (UE) Attock Campus organized a solidarity walk to observe Kashmir Black Day, expressing unity with the people of Indian-Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). The day marks the anniversary of the illegal occupation of Kashmir by Indian forces in 1947. Faculty members, administrative staff, and a large number of students participated in the rally, holding placards and banners. The walk began from the main gate of the campus and proceeded through different sections before culminating in front of the administrative block, where a brief ceremony was held. Speakers highlighted the sacrifices of the Kashmiri people and reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering moral and political support for their right to self-determination in accordance with UN resolutions. The event aimed to raise awareness among students about the historical and humanitarian dimensions of the Kashmir issue and to remind them of their role in promoting peace and justice. The rally concluded with prayers for peace, freedom, and prosperity in the region.
