Teaching is a God-given Vocation! Being Mayor Khymer Olaso’s teacher and Dr. Reneboy Guitierrez is a gift and so with all my students!

Vice Mayor Beng Climaco joined the World Teachers’ Day celebrations in San Roque and Putik District, sharing in the joy of honoring the teachers who continue to dedicate their time, patience, and heart to their students. Thank you Cap. Bebeth Macrohon and Council, San Roque District and Dr. Edgardo Falcatan and Putik District!

As a teacher herself, VMBeng knows that teaching is more than a profession. It is about believing in a child, encouraging them when they struggle, celebrating their small victories, and leaving a lasting impact that goes beyond the classroom. And loving our students!

Her own experience as an educator makes this celebration especially close to her heart. She expressed her warm appreciation to all teachers for the love and commitment they give to their students each day.

To all our dear teachers, thank you for shaping not only young minds, but also the people they will become.

Feliz Día de los Maestras y Maestros!

27th Sunday Reflection

Isaiah 5:1-7
Psalm 80:9, 12, 13-14, 15-16, 19-20
Philippians 4:6-9
Matthew 21:33-43

“Jesus said to them, ‘Did you never read in the Scriptures:

The stone that the builders rejected
has become the cornerstone;
by the Lord has this been done,
and it is wonderful in our eyes?’”

Today’s Gospel is a foreshadowing of the great love God the Father has for us by sending Jesus, through the Holy Spirit and through Mary, to save us. The Son of God was rejected and killed, just like the son of the vineyard owner who was killed by the tenants.

The tenants’ ungrateful and selfish response reflects our own tendency not to acknowledge God as our Savior and the source of all life. May we always be reminded of the great love God has for us in giving us Jesus to save us!

Finally, the Second Reading gives us great assurance of God’s peace and provision. Let us reflect on these words:

Brothers and sisters:
Have no anxiety at all, but in everything,
by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving,
make your requests known to God.
Then the peace of God that surpasses all understanding
will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

As we offer our Rosary, let us seek the intercession of our Blessed Mother Mary, asking our Lord to grant us peace.

Jesus, the stone rejected by the builders, is our Cornerstone and our Savior. May we build our lives firmly on Him.

May St. Thérèse, the Little Flower, inspire us to live with love, faith, and kindness, and to do good in our own little ways each day. To spend Heaven doing good on Earth by offering all our actions for love of God!
