๐๐๐๐๐ | The Zamboanga Peninsula Polytechnic State University (ZPPSU) - Bayog officialy received the Fruit and Forest Seedlings from TVI Resource Development (TVIRD) Phils., Inc โ Balabag Gold-Silver Project in a meaningful turnover ceremony, held at the ZPPSU-Bayog, Zamboanga Del Sur, May 21, 2026.
These seedlings were then planted within designated areas of the ZPPSU-Bayog as part of its ongoing green campus initiatives.
With the theme, "Planting Today, Growing Tomorrow, Greening Our Future", the event marked a significant collaboration between TVIRD Balabag and ZPPSU-Bayog in promoting environmental stewardship and sustainable development among students and the university community.
This collection action supports SDG 15: Life of Land and 13: Climate Change, for a greener, healthier and more resilient future.

๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ 2026 | Thousands of graduates convened for the 108th Commencement Exercises of the Zamboanga Peninsula Polytechnic State University held in KCC Mall De Zamboanga recently.
Commissioner of the Commission on Higher Education, Dr. Michelle Aguilar-Ong graced the graduation rites as the keynote speaker, sending her heartfelt congratulations to the graduates, especially those who were the first generation of families, working students, people with disabilities, and solo parents for pouring their hearts and resources to entitle a degree in tertiary education.
Further, Ms. Vanessa Kristy J. Castaรฑeda delivered her valedictory address, honoring the sacrifices made by the students just to reach this far, in spite of the challenges, failures, setbacks, and doubts.
This yearโs theme is dubbed โFostering Academic Excellence and Strengthening Global Education in the Pursuit of a World-Class Collaboration.โ

Under the inspiring theme, โFostering Academic Excellence and Strengthening Global Education in the Pursuit of a World-Class Collaborationโ, the event highlighted the universityโs commitment to producing globally competent leaders equipped to contribute to their respective fields and communities.
Adding inspiration to the celebration was the message of the distinguished Keynote Speaker Dr. Roy L. Valesco, ZSCMST President and ZPPSU alumnus, who emphasized that graduate education lies not in the title earned, but in the service and knowledge shared with others.
The ceremony concluded with the conferment of degrees to the doctoral and masteral graduates, alongside the recognition of the PEC completers, signifying their successful academic journey, marked by excellence, collaboration, and discipline of a polytechnic education.

๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ | Almost 200 Grade-12 students from the Senior High School Laboratory have officially marched and proclaimed as graduates, during the 108th Commencement Exercises of the Zamboanga Peninsula Polytechnic State University at the gymnasium, May 16.
The Class Valedictorian, Ms. Althea R. Caranain, shared an inspirational message, stressing that amidst the silent battles they all carried, they chose not to quit โ though it wasn't easy, but they overcame it and have finally made it to the graduation day.
Further, the keynote speaker, Mr. Ceferino J. Rubio, also affirmed that the future of the students isnโt tomorrow โ it is now. He also shared the ingredients of success and encouraged the students to be a beacon of hope for the next generation.
The awarding of the students excelled in academic and in curricular endeavors followed, along with the proud parents.
