Vintazk Academy Joined TESDA in Launching the EBET Program to Strengthen Education–Industry Ties

Zamboanga City, August 14, 2025 — Vintazk Academy participated in a landmark event for vocational education in the region as the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) hosted the regional Industry Forum alongside the launch of the Enhanced Basic Education–Technical (EBET) Program. Held at the Rosa Function Hall of the Universidad de Zamboanga’s Laboratories Building in Tetuan, the gathering highlighted TESDA’s mission to align technical education with industry needs.

The Industry Forum provided a platform for institutions and industry leaders to build stronger partnerships, foster collaboration, and match skills development with labor market demands.

For Vintazk Academy, the accredited learning arm of Vintazk Outsourcing that provides technical skills training for the IT-BPM industry in Region IX, this event reinforced our role in human capital development and our mission to prepare homegrown talent for global opportunities.

A week of building better systems for better training outcomes.

From July 14 to 18, 2025, TESDA Regional Staff from Regions IX, X, and CARAGA gathered in Cagayan de Oro City for a five-day Capability Building Program aimed at enhancing technical education delivery across Mindanao.

The event covered key areas in competency standards and curriculum development—tools that will shape the future of training and assessment across industries. Representing Zamboanga City, the TESDA team was joined by the Vintazk Academy team, contributing technical insight from the lens of industry practice.

Beyond workshops and presentations, the program became a space for aligning priorities, rethinking implementation, and reinforcing the shared goal of a more responsive, skills-driven TVET system.

🗓 Day 5 – July 18, 2025

The final day of the TESDA Capability Building Program, held on July 18, 2025, brought the week-long sessions to a close with presentations on Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC) Development.

Regional teams, including the Zamboanga City delegation under Region IX, shared their curriculum outputs—demonstrating how aligned standards, assessments, and contextualized learning are integrated into a practical, learner-focused framework.

This culmination reflected the core goal of the program: to strengthen the capacity of regional staff in building curricula that respond to industry needs, promote skills mobility, and elevate training quality across regions.

🗓 Day 4 – July 17, 2025

The fourth day of the Capability Building Program for TESDA Regional Staff focused on translating standards into actionable assessment methods and structured learning.

Sessions included the development of rubrics, the formulation of assessment fees, and orientations on Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC) and Contextual Learning Matrix (CLM) creation.

Vintazk Academy team actively contributed to workshops that emphasized fair, industry-aligned assessment and curriculum planning—ensuring training delivery remains both learner-centered and grounded in workplace application.

🗓 Day 3 – July 16, 2025

On the third day of the Capability Building Program, participants focused on developing and presenting Competency Assessment Tools (CATs).

The Zamboanga City team under Region IX joined colleagues from CARAGA and Region X in applying the principles of valid, reliable assessment design. Sessions included tool development workshops and collaborative output reviews, emphasizing the importance of clear assessment pathways for every defined skill.

These tools serve as essential components in TESDA’s goal to ensure that all learners are assessed based on accurate, real-world performance benchmarks.

🗓 Day 2 – July 15, 2025

Held on Day 2 of the Capability Building Program in Cagayan de Oro City, TESDA teams from Region IX, CARAGA, and Region X continued to enhance their competencies through activities centered on standard validation and assessment alignment.

The delegation from Zamboanga City (Region IX) participated in presentations and orientations aimed at strengthening understanding of how competency standards translate into measurable performance outcomes through tools like the Level Alignment Matrix and the introduction of Competency Assessment Tools (CATs).

These sessions played a key role in reinforcing the importance of alignment between standards and assessment—ensuring learners are measured against clear, job-ready criteria.

🗓 Day 1 – July 14, 2025

The Capability Building Program for TESDA Regional Lead Facilitators officially opened on July 14, 2025, at New Dawn Hotel, Cagayan de Oro City, bringing together participants from Region IX, CARAGA, and Region X.

The Vintazk Academy Team was invited to join the TESDA representatives from Zamboanga City under Region IX, taking part in sessions focused on foundational frameworks such as the Philippine Qualifications Framework (PQF), function analysis, and the principles behind Competency Standards (CS) Development.

The first day emphasized the importance of ensuring that all technical training is grounded in clear, relevant, and nationally aligned standards—crucial for maintaining quality and consistency across the TVET system.
