Pasonanca Elementary School marked a significant milestone with the Oath-Taking Ceremony of its newly elected Homeroom Parents-Teachers Association (HPTA) and School Parents-Teachers Association (SPTA) Officials held earlier afternoon at the school grounds.
The program was graced by the presence of Barangay Pasonanca officials, alongside City Councilor Hon. Joselito βLit-Litβ A. Macrohon, representing the City Government of Zamboanga. The event commenced with Opening Remarks given by the Teachers Club President Master Teacher Wilma Engallado and Sir Al Matolo was tasked to give his inaugural address.
Highlighting the ceremony was the formal induction of officers from Kindergarten to Grade 6. Kagawad Larry Silava administered the oath to the Kindergarten to Grade 3 officials, while Hon. Councilor Macrohon served as the inducting officer for Grade 4 to Grade 6 officials and the SPTA Officers.
In his message of inspiration, Hon. Macrohon emphasized that true service comes with unity and responsibility, urging all officers to collaborate in achieving the schoolβs project goals. He reaffirmed his commitment to supporting the school, citing the communityβs invaluable contribution to his electoral success as a reason to give back to the constituents of Barangay Pasonanca.
School Principal Annabelle M. Congreso also delivered an encouraging message to the parents and officers, highlighting the importance of cooperation and collective effort in achieving school initiatives. She cited the successful completion of projects in the previous school year as proof that SPTA programs directly benefit the learners by improving their facilities, learning environment and overall academic support.
Adding a solemn note to the occasion, Rev. Fr. Jeffrey Mirasol the parish priest of the Holy Trinity Parish in Barangay Pasonanca officiated the blessing of the newly built Principalβs Office, symbolizing new beginnings and strengthened school leadership.
The ceremony concluded with a fellowship meal, celebrating the start of a new chapter of service and commitment for the HPTA and SPTA officers. Afterward, the newly inducted officers, led by the School Principal convened to discuss priority school projects and potential fund-raising activities, reinforcing the call for unity and active participation in all endeavors for the welfare of the students.
Indeed, the event showcased the strong collaboration between the school, parents and local government, reflecting the shared goal of nurturing a learning environment where every Pasonanca Elementary learner can thrive and succeed.
