Pilar College Strengthens Global Partnership with Universitas Negeri Malang, Indonesia 🌎🇮🇩🇵🇭
Pilar College of Zamboanga City, Inc. continues to expand its international presence through the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with Universitas Negeri Malang (Indonesia) on July 20, 2026, under the PILOT-HRT (Professional International Learning Opportunities and Training in Hospitality, Restaurants, and Tourism) Program.
Signed by Mrs. Ma. Melinda C. Concepcion, LPT, MBA, for Pilar College and Mr. Komang Astina, Program Head of the Tourism Program of Universitas Negeri Malang, the partnership opens new opportunities for student and faculty mobility, collaborative research, academic exchange, and global learning experiences.
More than an agreement, this partnership strengthens Pilar College's commitment to preparing graduates with the global competence, professional excellence, and intercultural perspectives needed to succeed in the international tourism and hospitality industry.

Faculty representatives from Pilar College of Zamboanga City, Inc. recently participated in the Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) Seminar hosted by Ateneo de Zamboanga University.
The seminar introduced an innovative approach to teaching and learning that connects students and educators across countries through meaningful online collaboration.
The experience provided valuable insights into how COIL can foster intercultural understanding, global perspectives, and collaborative learning—preparing students to thrive in an increasingly interconnected world.

Our delegates from Pilar College of Zamboanga City, Inc. have officially begun their journey in Providence University, Taiwan! 🇹🇼
The first day was filled with meaningful learning experiences and cultural immersion activities, including:

Warmest congratulations to the Pilar College of Zamboanga City, Inc. – College of Nursing for its forthcoming participation in the Global Care Nursing Exchange Program (GCNEP) 2026 – Phase 3, scheduled from March 29 to April 3, 2026.
This significant international engagement is undertaken in collaboration with the Student Program for Academic Residency and Knowledge-sharing (S.P.A.R.K.) of the Faculty of Nursing of Burapha University, Thailand—an initiative that fosters academic exchange, research collaboration, and cross-cultural learning in the field of nursing. 🇵🇭🇹🇭

Clinical exposure will be further enriched through visits to selected healthcare institutions, providing valuable insights into both tertiary and community-based healthcare delivery systems. Moreover, a specialized clinical engagement will allow participants to observe advanced medical technologies, including the application of hyperbaric oxygen therapy, thereby enhancing their understanding of innovative patient care practices.
This initiative underscores the College of Nursing’s steadfast commitment to developing globally competent, compassionate, and practice-ready nurses through meaningful international collaboration and immersive learning experiences.
