Strength, discipline, and pride defined the performance of DPLMHSโSASHS delegates as they proudly represented the Sta. Maria District and delivered an impressive medal haul during the ZCDAA Division Meet (March 23โ27, 2026) and the ZPRAA Regional Meet (April 6โ11, 2026) held in Isabela City.
In swimming, Ivannie S. Quindo proved her endurance and versatility in the pool, earning bronze medals in the 200m Butterfly and 400m Individual Medley, along with silver medals in the 4x50m and 4x100m Freestyle Relays at the Division Meet. Her strong showing secured her spot as a Regional Meet delegate, carrying the schoolโs colors to a higher level of competition.
Meanwhile, Igy Valdez delivered a remarkable multi-event performance. At the Division Meet, he hauled four silver medals in the 4x50m Freestyle Relay, 4x50m Medley Relay, 400m Freestyle, and 200m Breaststroke, and added three bronze medals in the 200m Freestyle, 100m Breaststroke, and 50m Breaststroke. He continued his momentum at the Regional Meet, capturing gold medals in both the 4x50m Medley Relay and 4x50m Freestyle Relay, along with a bronze medal in the 400m Freestyle.
On the hardcourt, Jude Kyle T. Perez and Jay-ver Cagas Sitol, both from 11-AFA A, played with excellence as members of the basketball team, clinching gold medals in the District, Division, and Regional Meets. Their outstanding performance earned them and their team a coveted spot as Palarong Pambansa qualifiers, marking a significant milestone in their athletic journey.
On the diamond, Casandra Faith Ignacio (12 Sports Track) dominated softball, leading her team to Champion titles in both the Division and Regional Meets. Her stellar performance also earned her the prestigious Most Valuable Player (MVP) Award, securing her place as a Palarong Pambansa qualifier.
In chess, Christine Amor D. Gonzales, together with her team, showcased strategic precision, securing silver in Team Blitz and bronze in Team Standard during the Division Meet. Fellow woodpusher Art Noblijas also made his mark, earning silver in Blitz Individual and bronze in Standard Individual at the Division level. He elevated his game at the Regional Meet, achieving an impressive medal tally with gold in Rapid Individual, silver in Blitz Individual, and gold medals in the Standard Team, Rapid Team, and Blitz Team events.
The Sepak Takraw Secondary Boys Team, composed of Haidheyr A. Abbi, Marjon M. Verdad, RJ R. Silvallana, and Jaymark Pedro, demonstrated exceptional teamwork and athleticism. They emerged as Champion in the Best Regu Event and 1st Runner-Up Overall during the ZCDAA Meet 2026, before securing a 2nd Runner-Up finish at the Regional Meet.
Lastly, DPLMHS-SASHSโ one and only arnisador, Leo Jay Flores, hauled a silver medal in the Point Padded Extra Light Weight Category during the Division Meet.
All athletes, proudly representing the secondary level, embodied resilience, teamwork, and competitive spirit throughout the tournaments.
