Sinunuc National High School successfully conducted the Gender and Development (GAD) Seminar cm Team Building for Teachers on December 5, 2025, held at the schoolโs Conference Room with the theme โGAD Synergy: Uniting for Gender-Fair Education.โ
The seminar opened with two substantive learning sessions delivered by distinguished speakers. Alzhen N. Bakino, MAEd, School Principal I of ECCโBaluno NHS, served as the first resource speaker, presenting a practical session on self-management and effective task prioritization. Through tools such as GANTT charts, checklists, and structured time management strategies, he emphasized the value of organized and efficient work habits among teachers.
This was followed by Francis M. Padernal, MPA, MBA, DPA, PhD, Senior Bookkeeper of SNHS, who delivered an in-depth discussion on teachersโ benefits and compensation. His presentation provided clear and updated information on entitlements and support mechanisms that aim to strengthen teachersโ welfare and financial security.
Throughout the seminar, teachers demonstrated highly productive engagement, actively participating in the discussions and exchanging insights that reinforced their commitment to gender-responsive education and professional growth.
The team-building segment further enhanced camaraderie among the faculty, fostering cooperation, trust, and a renewed sense of unity within the school community.

Sinunuc National High School kicked off the holiday season with its annual Christmas program, proudly led by the ARPAN Department and fully supported by School Principal Dr. Jennifer P. Cawaling.
The highlight of the celebration was the Hanging of the Greens, a cherished tradition where each grade level showcased their festive creativity. Grade 12 decorated with garlands, Grade 11 with poinsettias, Grade 10 with Christmas balls, Grade 9 with candy canes, Grade 8 with small and big gifts, and Grade 7 with stars. Teachers added special touches with candles, bells, mistletoe, and lanterns, while the principal herself placed the big lantern, symbolizing guidance and light for the school community.
Students also brought the Nativity of Jesus Christ to life, portraying Joseph and Mary, angels, shepherds, and the three kings with devotion and flair. The celebration concluded with a joyful community singing of โJoy to the Worldโ, filling the campus with holiday spirit.

Sinunuc National High School proudly staged a successful Mindanao Week of Peace Symposium today at the Grade 8 Aries classroom, gathering class presidents from different sections for an engaging and well-organized culminating activity.
Anchored on the theme โTransparency and Accountability: Our Hope for Justice and Peace,โ the event emphasized the value of honesty, responsibility, and peaceful coexistence within the school community. The discussion also aligned with the schoolโs Peace Pledge Wall initiative, guiding learners to reflect on their personal role in promoting transparency and accountability.
A notable highlight of the program was the presence of Norina Usman-Yildiz, member of the Board of Directors of the Qurโan Academy in Western Mindanao (QAWM), who served as the symposiumโs resource speaker. Her empowering message centered on cultivating peace through shared responsibility, strong moral grounding, and active student involvementโdeeply resonating with the attendees.
The activity was organized by the Peace Club, led by Peace Link Moderators Nasir A. Akanul and Amina H. Aban, whose dedication ensured a smooth, meaningful, and non-disruptive event. The Senior Scouts of Sinunuc National High School delivered an exceptional performance during the 10th City-Wide Simultaneous District Camp held on November 28โ30, 2025 at Coco Beach, Ayala, Zamboanga City. The event was organized by the Boy Scouts of the Philippines โ Zamboanga City Council together with the Ayala District Scouting Staff, headed by Sir Zosimo Beira, Ayala District Scouting Coordinator.
A total of 22 Senior Scouts proudly represented Sinunuc NHS, led by Senior Crew Leader Prince Kylie Cia and Outfit Advisor Jerome L. Calumba, along with OA Carmen M. Lopez, OA Maureen Joy L. Macotocruz, OA Carmi B. Romblon, AL Norina U. Pasangan, and AL Radzmina A. Palumpung.

Sinunuc NHS Faculty Completes INSET 2025 with Renewed Skills and Stronger Commitment
The faculty of Sinunuc National High School successfully participated in the Ayala District INSET 2025 held on November 15, 22, & 29, 2025, anchored on the theme โFrom Standards to Success: Strengthening Priority PPST Indicators for Everyday Teaching Excellence.โ The three-day district training convened educators for an intensive series of sessions aimed at elevating teaching practice and reinforcing the core competencies of the Philippine Professional Standards for Teachers.
One of the most impactful sessions was delivered by Dr. Job Erico E. Aragon, Public Schools District Supervisor of Ayala District, who discussed Living Professionalism, a deeply relevant presentation grounded in the Code of Ethics for Professional Teachers. His talk emphasized integrity, ethical conduct, and the noble responsibilities carried by every educator. Dr. Aragon also extended full support to the conduct of the INSET, ensuring its smooth and successful implementation.
The event likewise featured several speakers from the Ayala District who shared updated strategies, instructional insights, and professional reflections aligned with PPST indicators. Their contributions helped broaden teachersโ understanding of effective classroom practices and holistic development.
High commendation is due to Dr. Jennifer P. Cawaling, INSET Ayala District Division Focal Person, whose leadership guided the training flow with clarity and organization.
