On November 15, 2024, the College of Criminal Justice Education Graduate School, officially kicked off Crime Prevention Week with the theme Protecting Vulnerable Populations: The Impact of OSAEC on Victims of Transnational Crime and Cybercrime. The event featured a compelling keynote speech by the Resource Speaker PEMS. Mal-Meradz B. Lagbas, emphasizing the urgency of combating transnational crime and the importance of protecting vulnerable individuals, especially from the dangers of cybercrime.

We would also like to acknowledge the 75 dedicated interns from Western Mindanao State University, Southern City Colleges and Nuevo Zamboanga whose enthusiasm and commitment contributed greatly to the success of the seminar. Their involvement underscores the collective effort to build awareness and take a stand against all forms of crime.

This week is a call to action for all of us to stand together in creating a safer and more just society. Let’s continue working towards a future where every individual is protected and empowered.
