AVISO PUBLICO| Classes at all levels, both public and private schools in the city, REMAIN SUSPENDED on Thursday, August 20, 2026, to give way for the conduct of campus-wide anti-dengue measures amid the dengue epidemic declaration in the city.
The suspension is also due to the high heat index which hits extreme caution level per latest PAGASA bulletin.
Nonetheless, government services and business operations continue as usual.
School authorities are advised to use other learning modalities to ensure continuous education despite class interruptions.
The public is continuously advised to practice safety measures amid the dangerously high heat index.

In light of the tragic shooting incident that happened yesterday, the Tolerance School joins the entire Zamboanga City community in mourning the lives lost and extends our deepest sympathy, prayers, and condolences to the bereaved families.
As a learning institution, we strongly condemn all forms of violence within schools and educational institutions.
May we observe this day with solemnity, compassion, and respect. May this tragedy remind us of our shared responsibility to promote kindness, tolerance, understanding, and peace in our schools and in our community.

🌿 A Clean and Safe School Starts with Prevention! 🦟✨
In response to the recent dengue epidemic, Tolerance School conducted a fumigation activity on August 13, 2026, as part of our ongoing efforts to maintain a clean, safe, and healthy learning environment for our students, teachers, and staff.
This initiative aims to help eliminate potential mosquito breeding and resting areas within the school premises and strengthen our commitment to dengue prevention and community health. 🏫💚
At Tolerance School, we believe that prevention is everyone's responsibility. Together, let us keep our school clean, vigilant, and safe from dengue. 🦟🚫

PUBLIC ADVISORY| Face-to-face classes at all levels - both public and private schools in the city are SUSPENDED on Monday, August 17, 2026, due to high heat index.
Based on the latest PAGASA bulletin, Zamboanga City’s heat index is forecast to reach 41 degrees Celsius on Monday, Aug. 17.
Nonetheless, work in government and private agencies, as well as business operations, continue as usual.
The public is advised to take extra precautions during periods of high heat index to prevent heat-related illnesses like cramps, exhaustion, and stroke. Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water, limit outdoor exposure between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM, wear light clothing, and use sun protection.

Congratulations to our Tolerance School Football Team for their outstanding achievement of becoming Champion in the Under-17 Category and 1st Runner-Up in the Under-11 Category at the BOLA KONTRA DROGA Football Festival 2026, held on August 1–2, 2026, in Manicahan, Zamboanga City.

Mayor Khymer Olaso ordered the suspension of classes, as latest PAGASA weather forecast indicates that Zamboanga City will continue to experience cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers due to Southwest Monsoon.
