Our SKLC preschoolers and kindergarteners had a blast practicing their fine motor skills last Friday, September 18, 2026 through shoe lacing, letter matching, and guiding strings through their favorite animal figures! Learning and lacing is so much fun! 🥰🤗

Protecting our littlest learners, one step at a time! 🛡️✨

At Smart Kids Learning Center, your children’s safety and health are our top priorities. To keep our classrooms, play areas, and campus completely safe from Dengue, the Zamboanga City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office ( CDRRMO) conducted a thorough school-wide fumigation and mosquito control treatment yesterday, August 26, 2026.

IMPLEMENTATION OF DEPED ORDER NO. 006, S. 2026
(Ensuring a Safe and Motivating Learning Environment - ESMLE)

Dear Students, Parents, Guardians, and School Community,

In compliance with the Department of Education (DepEd) Order No. 006, s. 2026, Smart Kids Learning Center of Zamboanga City, Inc. is implementing updated guidelines to ensure a safe, secure, and supportive environment for all learners and employees.

Please take note of the following key policies starting August 24, 2026:

1. Classroom Mobile Phone Ban:
The use of cell phones and portable electronic devices by students and personnel is strictly prohibited during class hours and instructional time. Devices may only be used for authorized academic activities assigned by teachers or during emergencies.

2. Campus Safety & Security Measures:
To maintain a secure campus, routine, non-intrusive inspections of bags and vehicles will be conducted at entry gates. Bringing weapons, dangerous items, e-cigarettes/vapes, and to***co products onto school grounds is strictly forbidden.

3. Learner Protection & Discipline:
Our school enforces a zero-tolerance policy for bullying, violence, and harassment. A structured disciplinary framework is in place to address minor to severe infractions fairly and consistently.

We request the full cooperation of parents and guardians in discussing these policies with your children, and family members visiting SKLC. Together, let us build a safe, focused, and motivating learning space for everyone!

Though no longer with us, Lola Attorney’s gentle heart, bright smile, and vision for early childhood education live on in every laugh, game, and lesson shared in these halls.

DAY OF MOURNING AND SUSPENSION OF CLASSES ON AUGUST 19, 2026

August 18, 2026 was a very, very sad and tragic day for Zambamga City. Two young students died in the shooting incident that happened early this morning at the Ateneo de Zamboanga campus in Barangay Tumaga .

The City Government of Zamboanga mourns with profound sadness the tragic loss of two young lives.

We extend our deepest condolences to the bereaved families, loved ones, classmates, teachers, and the entire school community. Our hearts are with you in this time of unimaginable grief.

We appeal to everyone to remain calm and compassionate, refrain from spreading unverified information, and allow the proper authorities to conduct a thorough investigation. The City Government will continue to work closely with law enforcement and concerned agencies to ensure that the safety and well-being of our students and our community remain our highest priority.

As a solemn expression of our collective grief and respect for the lives lost, classes at all levels in all public and private academic institutions in Zamboanga City are SUSPENDED on WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 19, 2026 which shall be observed as a DAY OF MOURNING.

Let us use this day to grieve, pray, and reflect on our shared responsibility to protect our children and uphold the sanctity of life.

To the bereaved families, we grieve with you. Zamboanga City stands with you in this painful moment.

May the souls of the two young lives we lost rest in eternal peace.
