Mental Ability, English, Math, Science, and Special Tests all play a role in your application. Plus, your high school grades can contribute 20% of your final rating, so your everyday school performance matters too.

That means your prep can be more intentional: build skills across each section, practice different question types, and keep your academic routine steady. Knowing how USTET scoring works can help you decide where to spend your study time.

Find the key concepts that support the rest of the topic. Give more time to study methods that actually help you retain information. Keep your biggest distractions out of reach during focused sessions, then use quizzes and practice tests to see which areas deserve another round.

With the DCAT application window reaching its final stretch this month, a clear review plan can make your prep feel much more manageable.

Instead of studying everything at random, start with the subtests youโ€™ll encounter.

Give each area dedicated practice, then add timed drills so you get comfortable switching between subjects while keeping your pace steady.

For DSHAPE applicants, the same approach applies with Mental Ability, Math, Reading Comprehension, English, Science, Critical Thinking, and Personality Test.
