FORMATION SESSION 1 | The Ministry of Accompaniment
Yesterday, June 15, 2026, the Office of Student Affairs participated in its first Formation Session held at the Immaculate Conception Chapel, University Church of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus and officiated by Rev. Fr. Text Paurom, SJ, MD.
The session centered on the Office's role as a ministry called to serve for the greater good of the students. Through this formation session, the Office of Student Affairs was reminded that its mission goes beyond responding to students' needs. It is also a call to accompany them with care, empathy, and genuine love, serving with a heart that listens, understands, and walks alongside the students in their journey.
Servicio con Amor y Alegría. 💙

June 16, 2026 | Amun Jadid
Today is Amun Jadid – a brand new year for our Muslim brothers and sisters.
According to the lunar-based Islamic (Hijri) calendar, today marks the first day of Muharram, the first month. This sacred time is welcomed with deep faith, thanksgiving, and an outlook of peace and hope.
The Ateneo de Zamboanga University stands with our Muslim brothers and sisters on this day of Amun Jadid. We come together as one community, not just to offer prayers for ourselves and our loved ones but also for those most in need, especially those affected by the recent earthquake.
May this be a meaningful and peaceful day of hope and faith for everyone.
