🎯 Topic: Social Emotional Learning (SEL)

Teacher Jenilyn Y. Tangunan, a dedicated Kindergarten teacher of Rio Hondo Elementary School, served as the speaker for this meaningful session. She shared the core competencies of SEL—self‑awareness, self‑management, social awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision‑making—along with age‑appropriate activities and strategies suitable especially for young learners.

Through active discussion and exchange of ideas, teachers gained practical ways to integrate SEL into daily lessons, helping learners build good character, manage emotions, and develop healthy relationships. Truly, learning together makes teaching better! ✨

Today, Rio Hondo Elementary School actively participated in the 2nd Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill to strengthen disaster preparedness and promote a culture of safety in our school community.

Through the proper ex*****on of the “Duck, Cover, and Hold” procedure and orderly evacuation practices, our learners demonstrated awareness, discipline, and readiness during emergency situations. These activities help equip everyone with the knowledge and skills needed to respond effectively when earthquakes occurs.
