General Assembly August 22, 2026 at PMCI Covered Court

The assembly tackled essential reminders and concerns on school safety and security, bullying and cyberbullying, student discipline and conduct, mental and emotional well-being, academic responsibility, midterm examination reminders, attendance and punctuality, school policies, cleanliness and orderliness.

More than just reminders, these discussions serve as a call for every student to take responsibility for their actions, respect one another, follow school policies, care for their well-being, and contribute to a positive learning environment.

Together, let us build a school where safety is protected, respect is practiced, responsibility is valued, and every learner feels heard and supported. 💙💛

With heavy hearts, we stand in solidarity with the people of Zamboanga City as we mourn the tragic passing of Patrick Wee and Mohammad Jalani.

As we observe this Day of Mourning, may we offer our deepest condolences and prayers to their families, friends, classmates, teachers, and the entire school community. May this solemn day remind us of the value of every life and our shared responsibility to protect and care for one another.

PUBLIC ADVISORY| Face-to-face classes at all levels - both public and private schools in the city are SUSPENDED on Monday, August 17, 2026, due to high heat index.

Based on the latest PAGASA bulletin, Zamboanga City’s heat index is forecast to reach 41 degrees Celsius on Monday, Aug. 17.

Nonetheless, work in government and private agencies, as well as business operations, continue as usual.

The public is advised to take extra precautions during periods of high heat index to prevent heat-related illnesses like cramps, exhaustion, and stroke. Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water, limit outdoor exposure between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM, wear light clothing, and use sun protection.

The Philippine Malaya College, Inc. (PMCI) students actively participated in the Basic First Aid Training conducted by the Philippine Red Cross – Zamboanga City Chapter.

Through this meaningful training, our students gained essential knowledge and practical skills in responding to emergencies, providing immediate assistance, and promoting safety in their school and community.

Through the Robotics Training conducted by the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), our students are gaining valuable hands-on experience, developing their creativity, problem-solving skills, teamwork, and technological confidence.
This training is more than just learning how robots work—it is about empowering young innovators to imagine, create, and shape the future through technology. 💡🧠
