The Mercedes National High School marked this special month dedicated to promoting healthy eating and wellness. This year's theme " Sa PPAN, Sama-Sama Sa Nutrisyong Sapat Para Sa Lahat!

The Nutrition Month celebration features a variety of engaging activities, including:

PUBLIC ADVISORY| The city government reminds school authorities of the provisions of DepEd Order No. 22, series 2024, the revised guidelines on class and work suspension in schools during disasters and emergencies.

One of the conditions in the DepEd order under Localized/ Granular Suspension, state: “In cases in the absence of declaration from the LGU, the school heads or the district or division ALS coordinator, may suspend classes and work, in cases listed below; provided that there is necessary coordination with the local chief executive and schools division superintendent.” Among the cases mentioned are torrential rain, flooding, and risks of landslides and storm surges and in case of localized and specific flooding affects a large part of the school premises; or when flooding affects a large part of the student and personnel population of the school.

In view of this, school heads are to use their discretionary powers to decide on whether or not to suspend classes based on the latest PAG-ASA weather forecast, and to provide timely advisory by making the announcement by 11 ‘o clock tonight, July 22, 2025.

The primordial concern is the safety of learners and teachers and at the same time maintaining learning continuity.

Based on PAG-ASA’s latest forecast, Zamboanga City will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to Southwest Monsoon. Tropical Cyclone Bulletin 1 also states that strong to gale force wind may affect Zamboanga del Norte but due to its proximity, the city might also experience similar effect.

We, the Senior High School, is ready to join this joyous celebration. We are ready to make the loudest yell and the most impressive performance.

The powerful growl of the panthers is about to be heard and the swift of the magnificent falcons is about to be seen.

Junior High School is following a regular class schedule which will start at 7:30 AM up to 4:00 PM.

Senior High School is following a double-shift for June 16, 2025. Grade 11 is on morning shift which will start at 7:30 AM and ends at 11:30 AM. And, Grade 12 is on afternoon shift which will start at 12:30 up to 4:30 PM.
