AMA x COLLABORATING CLUBS 🤝

On August 21, 2026, the Atenean Muslim Assembly held an online meeting with AdZU-SHS Red Cross Youth Council, ASEC, Ateneo Liga de Ciencia, Interact Club of Ateneo de Zamboanga Senior High School and The Oculus.

The meeting was held to discuss plans for upcoming activities and explore opportunities for collaboration among the different organizations. With this collaboration officially established, the organizations look forward to fostering teamwork, creativity, and service as they work together on upcoming activities and projects.

Assalamualaykum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh! 🕌

Nu'man b. Bashir reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying:

"The similitude of believers in regard to mutual love, affection, fellow-feeling is that of one body; when any limb of it aches, the whole body aches, because of sleeplessness and fever.”

When hard times hit our community, the emotional weight is felt across every home. No single person or family is meant to carry a heavy trial alone—when one of us hurts, the pain naturally ripples through us all.

In moments of hardship, we must ensure that no member of our community faces grief or burden alone. Standing united, we can provide comfort, support, and practical assistance to those who are suffering. Let us uphold each other with steady care, gentle compassion, and sincere prayers. 🤍

May Allah ﷻ wrap every heavy heart in His infinite comfort, grant ease to those who suffer, and keep our bond as one body unbreakable. Allahumma Ameen.

In times of tragedy, the Qur’an and Sunnah remind us of the profound value, dignity, and sanctity of human life.

These teachings remind us that Islam upholds the dignity of human life and calls us toward mercy, compassion, justice, and the preservation of one another's well-being.

May we, as Muslims and as members of the AdZU community, respond to this difficult time with mercy, compassion, patience, and care for one another.

May we remember the value of every human life, extend our support to those who are grieving, and keep our hearts anchored in ṣabr, ṣalāh, and duʿāʾ.

May Allah ﷻ grant comfort to those who mourn, healing to those who are hurting, peace to our community, and guidance to us all. May He protect our students, teachers, staff, and families, and grant us the strength to remain compassionate and steadfast in times of difficulty.

‎إِنَّا لِلَّهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ

Innā lillāhi wa innā ilayhi rājiʿūn.
“Indeed, we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we shall return.”

The Atenean Muslim Assembly (AMA) extends its heartfelt condolences to the families, loved ones, classmates, teachers, and the entire AdZU community affected by this tragic incident.

In this time of grief, may we turn to Allah for mercy, comfort, protection, and guidance. May he ease the hearts of those who are mourning, strengthen those who are hurting, and grant peace and healing to everyone affected.

Let us continue to keep one another in our prayers and respond with compassion, patience, and care as we navigate this difficult time together.

May Allah grant mercy to those who have passed, comfort to their loved ones, and protection and strength to our entire community.

FRIDAY JUMU’AH | AUGUST 14, 2026 🌙

All praise is due to Allah, who has blessed us with another Jumu’ah and another opportunity to draw closer to Him through prayer and remembrance.

Whenever we feel worried, overwhelmed, or saddened, let us turn to Allah in prayer. In those moments, we leave behind the concerns of this world and stand before our Creator seeking His✨️ forgiveness, guidance, and mercy.

No matter how busy life becomes, we are never too busy to worship the One who gave us our time, health, and blessings. Let us make Salah the center of our daily lives and encourage our families and communities to preserve it.💫

May Allah make us among those who faithfully guard their prayers, grant us sincerity and khushu’ in worship, forgive our shortcomings, and keep our hearts firm upon His guidance. 🤍

FRIDAY JUMU’AH | AUGUST 14, 2026 🌙

Today, Mr. Saleh reminded us of the importance of Salah, the pillar of our faith and our direct connection with Allah. Prayer is not a burden; it is a source of peace, guidance, and mercy for every believer.

Let us reflect on two things:
• To guard our prayers and perform them on time.
• To approach Salah with humility, sincerity, and concentration.

Allah reminds us that prayer prevents immorality and wrongdoing, and our beloved Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught us that prayer will be the first deed we are questioned about on the Day of Judgment.
