The ZSCMSTAAI officially and successfully held its first series of basketball games at the Divisoria Open Court today, July 12, 2026.

The league opened up with two games:

First Game: (High School) Batch 1991 vs IMT Vikings
Second Game (High School) Batch 1998 vs ZSCMST Titans

IMT Vikings won over Batch 1991 with a final score of 79-53. ZSCMST Titans won over Batch 1998 with a final score of 78-75.

The players of the games were as follows:

Roel A. Elemia (IMT Vikings, 24 points)
Eduardo T. Tan (ZSCMST Titans, 29 points)

ZSCMST Alumni are all invited to watch the basketball games scheduled on Sunday mornings at the Divisoria basketball court.

Special thanks goes out to the Local Government Unit of Barangay Divisoria for allowing the ZSCMST Alumni Association to use its facilities.

Last July 1, 2026, the ZSCMSTAAI headed by its President, Atty. Jovian P. Diesto, joined the festive whole-day celebration of the 70th ZSCMST Founding Anniversary held at the ZSCMST school grounds. The alumni officers and members of the association attended the thanksgiving mass and motorcade in the morning. During lunch time, they had a boodle fight at their booth. In the afternoon, the officers and members were able to witness the different traditional games competed by the ZSCMST employees.

A fiesta-inspired booth was built to house the ZSCMSTAAI officers and members. They also sold made-to-order commemorative memorabilia such as mugs, tote bags, key chains, ref magnets and luggage tags for keepsake.

Atty. Diesto also served as judge in the sayawit and inter-cluster booth competition.

​Get ready for another highly anticipated One-Day Darts Event! This upcoming tournament is exclusively designed for the entire Zamboanga State College of Marine Sciences and Technology Inter-batch community.

𝓞𝓯𝓯 𝔀𝓲𝓽𝓱 𝓪 𝓰𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓽 𝓼𝓽𝓪𝓻𝓽!

The Zamboanga State College of Marine Sciences and Technology Alumni Association, Inc. (ZSCMSTAAI) formally opened its 2026 Sports Festival today.

In the morning, the opening kicked-off with a short parade of batches followed by an energetic and calorie-burning Zumba exercise. Amazing Zumba instructors, Host RFi and Host LALA (Ms. Lala Rebollos), who also served as program host, together with JAMPER’s Zumba Group Dance Fitness of Barangay Talon-talon graced the event.

In the afternoon, a tight, precision-centered open dart competition was held at Overdrive Ktv and Sport Bar, Sta. Maria, Zamboanga City. This was participated by thirty dart enthusiasts across the city including, ZSCMST Alumni, Mr. Junieboy DR Alberto (Bachelor of Secondary Education Major in General Science Batch 2007), and Mr. Anthon Glenn B. Antonio (Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology Batch 2017). The winners were as follows:

The awards were presented by ZSCMSTAAI First Vice-President, Engr. Ray J. Arcillas and Host Batch President, Engr. Jocelyn T. Bruces. Also present during the competition were Mr. Jaafar Elhano, ZSCMSTAAI Board of Director, Ms. Aireen Grace Paragas-Atilano, ZSCMSTAAI PIO, Mr. Marlon Salazar of ZSCMST High School Batch 1991, and Engr. John Matthew S. Emmanuel, Ms. Jenny Rose r. Lozano and Ms. Geejay Bernal of the host batch.

The said opening celebration and the open dart competition was organized and hosted by ZSCMST Laboratory High School Batch 2001.
