โ˜€๏ธ๐ŸŒŽ Longest Day of the Year ๐ŸŒŽโ˜€๏ธ

๐Ÿ“… June 21, 2026

๐Ÿ”ญโœจ Today marks the Summer Solstice, the day with the most daylight hours of the year in the Northern Hemisphere! ๐ŸŒž๐ŸŒ This astronomical event occurs when the Earthโ€™s tilt positions the Northern Hemisphere toward the Sun, allowing it to receive the greatest amount of daylight. โ˜€๏ธ๐Ÿ“ˆ

๐ŸŒŸ The Summer Solstice reminds us of the fascinating relationship between the Earth ๐ŸŒŽ and the Sun โ˜€๏ธ, and how science ๐Ÿ”ฌ helps us understand the natural phenomena that shape our world.

Today, we celebrate these incredible ocean travelers that have roamed our seas for millions of years. As we honor their resilience and importance to marine ecosystems, let us also commit to protecting their habitats from pollution, climate change, and other threats.

The Kempโ€™s ridley turtle is the rarest of all sea turtles. ๐Ÿข It weighs between 80-100 pounds and the mature adult is an olive green color. ๐Ÿ’š They have declined significantly in recent years due mainly to predation and poaching. ๐Ÿ˜ข

Together, letโ€™s make waves for conservation and keep our seas a safe home for these gentle marine giants. ๐Ÿข๐Ÿ’™๐ŸŒŽ
