With deep sorrow, we mourn the passing of a dedicated Alim, Vice President of the Ulama Council of Zamboanga Peninsula.

He devoted his life to the service of Islam, the pursuit of sacred knowledge, and the guidance of the Muslim community. May Allah accept his efforts, forgive his shortcomings, expand his grave, and grant him the highest ranks in Jannatul Firdaus.

Ya Allah, forgive him, have mercy upon him, and make Paradise his abode.

Our sincere condolences to his family, students, colleagues, and the entire Muslim Ummah.

Announcement
To all parents and students of Mahad Al-Awwal, Please be informed that classes are suspended this Sunday, November 9, 2025, due to heavy rainfall and strong winds affecting Zamboanga City.
Let us all take care and remember to recite the du’a when the wind blows:

Allahumma inni as’aluka khayraha, wa khayra ma fiha, wa khayra ma ursilat bihi, wa a‘udhu bika min sharriha, wa sharri ma fiha, wa sharri ma ursilat bihi.
(O Allah, I ask You for its goodness, the good within it, and the good it was sent with; and I seek refuge in You from its harm, the harm within it, and the harm it was sent with.)
