Subject: New DepEd Pronouncements on COVID-19 and LGU E.O. on Suspension of Classes In Relation to Attendance of School Heads, Teachers and Non-Teaching Personnel

Attached is the post of DepEd Usec Pascua, Usec for Admin and currently the Chairman of Central Office COVID-19 Task Force.

Relative to the forefoing and in connection with the E.O on Zamboanga City COVID-19 Prevention Measures (specifically incoming travel to Zamboanga City), effective immediately the following policy orders are issued:

1. Teachers will no longer be required to report to their respective schools in cases where it would be impractical, inconvenient, and impossible due to inavailability of transport or any other causes.

2. School heads, Dept. Heads and Grade level chairpersons and advisers of the graduating class and others concerned will report on Monday to discuss their coping measures relative to the grade computations of learners and other academic related matters.

3. Tuesday and until further notice only the school heads, Dept Heads and non-teaching personnel shall be required to report to school regulary following the 4-day work week on rotation basis except the school heads, specially big schools. They shall man the School Covid Command Center. School heads shall report five (5) days a week.

4. School heads in consultation with their stake holders are authorized to do the following:
a. Adopt appropriate ADMs to still attempt to continue instructional delivery without the required physical presence of the learners. This is in accordance with the principle, that "Classes maybe Suspended but learning cannot".
b. Adopt grade computations/transmutation that will as much as possible reasonably determine the true academic standing of the leaners, if (a) will become impossible.
c. Order any teacher only when their physical presence is extremely necessary.

5. The effect of this order will remain in force and in effect until it is being superseded, rescinded or modified by DepEd of LGU issuances. This policy order is temporary only in order to answer an emerging need.

6. All SMS memos and other SDO issuances not affected or otherwise not inconsistent with the provisions of this memo shall remain in force and in affect.

7. This SMS Memo must be textblasted or posted to FB Workplace upon receipt. Upon receipt of this memo all concerned officials and employees must textback the undersigned in order to confirm receipt of this message.

Sumali ka na sa pagkukuwento kung ikaw ay regular na g**o ng DepEd sa anomang baitang: Kindergarten, Elementary, Junior High School, Senior High School, at Alternative Learning System.

Hintayin lamang ang Official Guidelines na ilalabas para sa mas detalyadong pamantayan.

Paano sumali? Ihanda lang ang kuwentong orihinal at may "local flavor" at hintaying opisyal na ilunsad ang 3rd National Competition on Storybook Writing.

Sa Phase 1, kuwento lamang ang kailangang ihanda ng mga g**o. Tatlong kuwento bawat grade level ang mananalo sa Division Manuscripts Screening (DMS).

Sa Phase 2, ang mga nanalong kuwento sa DMS ang maglalaban-laban sa Regional Manuscripts Screening (RMS).

Sa Phase 3, bubuksan sa mga g**o at non-teaching personnel ang pag-disenyo sa mga nanalo sa RMS. Sa Contest on Graphic Designing (CGD) pa lamang maaaring i-larawan at ilapat ang mga nanalong kuwento.

Sa Phase 4, lahat ng lahok na nanalo sa CGD ang isasabak sa National Storybook Judging kung saan mapipili ang Top 5 sa bawat grade level.
