All advisers of classes assigned to Building 4 are requested to immediately inform their respective students and ensure that they are properly advised of this temporary arrangement.

This measure is being implemented to ensure the safety and well-being of our learners and personnel while the building undergoes the necessary assessment. It also aims to prevent any possible aggravation of the reported structural issues until an official certification is issued.

Thank you for your understanding and full cooperation.

The precautionary class suspension was geared toward ensuring the safety of the learners before they come back to school after experiencing a 7.8 magnitude earthquake which was felt in most parts of Mindanao.

If there are visible cracks in the structures, we will write the OSDS thru the Division Engineer to conduct a thorough assessment of our buildings to determine whether they are safe for occupancy.

Teachers, however, shall report to school on official time unless suspension of work is declared by the Mayor.

Late enrollment may still be entertained if prevailing conditions are safe for students and everyone. Wise discretion is expected of parents/guardians who may want to transact with the school.

Classes and work in both public and private schools across Zamboanga City were suspended following the strong earthquake that affected the city and the issuance of an active tsunami alert for coastal areas.

The suspension was implemented as a precautionary measure to prioritize the safety and welfare of students, teachers, school personnel, and the general public while authorities conducted assessments and monitored the situation. Schools were likewise advised to shift to modular or other alternative learning delivery modalities when applicable.

As the community continues to recover from the effects of the earthquake, everyone is encouraged to remain vigilant, follow the guidance of local authorities, and avoid spreading unverified information that may cause unnecessary panic.

The safety of every ZamboangueΓ±o remains the highest priority. Let us continue to look after one another and extend patience, cooperation, and support during this time.

Stay safe, Blue Cardinals. πŸ’™
