Did you know that in 1963, the 11th World Jamboree was conducted in Marathon, Greece? The Boy Scouts of the Philippines sent a delegation which comprised of 24 Scouts. Sadly, the delegation did not make it to the World Jamboree because of a plane crash accident.

National Office Memorandum Number 78, Series of 2000, prescribes that "Scouts are entitled to wear the badge sash after they earned no less than seven (7) Merit Badges." The sash also becomes part of the type "A" uniform upon reaching the rank of Outdoorsman Scout.
