𝘼𝙑𝙄𝙎𝙊 𝘼𝙑𝘼𝙇𝙊𝙉𝙄𝘼𝙉𝙎!!🏫👩‍🏫👨‍🏫

In line with our commitment to school safety, we respectfully ask our stakeholders to take time to read our new school memorandum.

We seek your cooperation and support as we strengthen our policies to ensure a safer school environment.🏫 The following are indicated in our new memorandum:

1. NO VEHICLES ALLOWED INSIDE CAMPUS DROP-OFF /PICK-UP

- No private vehicles, motorcycles, or any conveyance shall enter the campus when dropping off or picking up students.

Drop-off and pick-up shall be done only at the designated area outside the school gate.

- Do not idle, park, or obstruct the entrance. Follow the instructions of security personnel at all times.

2. SHARP OBJECTS ARE STRICTLY PROHIBITED

- Sharp objects of any kind spikes, or any item that may cause injury are NOT ALLOWED inside the campus. knives, blades, cutters, scissors, metal

- Prohibited items will be confiscated.

3. STRICT INSPECTION OF BAGS AND PERSONAL BELONGINGS

- All persons entering the campus students, parents, and visitors shall undergo mandatory inspection of bags, packages, and personal items before entry is granted.

- Inspection will be conducted by authorized security personnel or school staff.

- Random inspections may also be conducted at any time during the day.

4. STUDENTS ARE NOT ALLOWED TO LEAVE THE CAMPUS DURING SCHOOL HOURS

- Students are STRICTLY PROHIBITED from leaving the campus during recess time, lunch break, or class hours, unless officially permitted by the School Office.

Going outside to buy food, drinks, or school materials at any time during the school day is NOT ALLOWED.

- Students are strongly advised to bring their own food and drinks for recess and lunch, together with all necessary school materials before coming to school.

GENERAL REMINDERS

These measures are for the protection and safety of the entire school community.

Non-compliance will be dealt with accordingly in accordance with school rules and regulations.

To address the sudden class suspensions and ensure that learning continues, we respectfully ask for the cooperation of our dear students, parents, and guardians with the guidelines in the memorandum below.

This memorandum is effective starting today. Please be guided accordingly.

𝗭𝗔𝗦 𝗙𝗔𝗖𝗨𝗟𝗧𝗬 & 𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗙𝗙 𝗠𝗘𝗘𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗚

To address current issues and enhance our school's security measures, a meeting was held on July 19, 2026. It was headed by our School Principal Mrs. Erlinda G. Acorin, with the participation of the Faculty and Staff of Zamboanga Avalokitesvara School.

Key matters affecting the school including the shift of learning modality during class suspensions were also discussed.

DAY OF MOURNING AND SUSPENSION OF CLASSES ON AUGUST 19, 2026

August 18, 2026 was a very, very sad and tragic day for Zambamga City. Two young students died in the shooting incident that happened early this morning at the Ateneo de Zamboanga campus in Barangay Tumaga .

The City Government of Zamboanga mourns with profound sadness the tragic loss of two young lives.

We extend our deepest condolences to the bereaved families, loved ones, classmates, teachers, and the entire school community. Our hearts are with you in this time of unimaginable grief.

We appeal to everyone to remain calm and compassionate, refrain from spreading unverified information, and allow the proper authorities to conduct a thorough investigation. The City Government will continue to work closely with law enforcement and concerned agencies to ensure that the safety and well-being of our students and our community remain our highest priority.

As a solemn expression of our collective grief and respect for the lives lost, classes at all levels in all public and private academic institutions in Zamboanga City are SUSPENDED on WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 19, 2026 which shall be observed as a DAY OF MOURNING.

Let us use this day to grieve, pray, and reflect on our shared responsibility to protect our children and uphold the sanctity of life.

To the bereaved families, we grieve with you. Zamboanga City stands with you in this painful moment.

May the souls of the two young lives we lost rest in eternal peace.

We strongly condemn the gun-related incident that occurred at one of the private schools here in Zamboanga City.

We also ask for the cooperation of our students and parents. Please refrain from sharing unverified information or posts that may cause panic and distress among our students and community. Any student found treating this incident as a joke or spreading it for entertainment will face appropriate disciplinary action.

Regarding the note posted by one of our students: This matter has already been addressed. The student, parents, and teacher have discussed it, and appropriate actions have been taken. We assure all our stakeholders that our school prioritizes the safety and welfare of our students.

Hence, let us work together to maintain a safe and calm environment for everyone. For any concerns, please coordinate directly with the school administration.

PUBLIC ADVISORY| Face-to-face classes at all levels - both public and private schools in the city are SUSPENDED on Monday, August 17, 2026, due to high heat index.

Based on the latest PAGASA bulletin, Zamboanga City’s heat index is forecast to reach 41 degrees Celsius on Monday, Aug. 17.

Nonetheless, work in government and private agencies, as well as business operations, continue as usual.

The public is advised to take extra precautions during periods of high heat index to prevent heat-related illnesses like cramps, exhaustion, and stroke. Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water, limit outdoor exposure between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM, wear light clothing, and use sun protection.

To ensure our stakeholders are well-informed, we held this orientation to discuss the updates in the SHS Curriculum and the ESC and SHS Voucher Program for this school year.🏫

This orientation was headed by our supportive and active Principal Mrs. Erlinda G. Acorin together with Mr. Maiko Montera and Mrs. Esther Sabran, our Junior and Senior High School Coordinator.👨‍🏫👩‍🏫

On July 30, 2026, our students showcased their talents through various competitions such as Yell and Song, Food Carving, and Cooking. 👏 We were also happy to see students selling their products and vegetables in their assigned booths, which demonstrated their creativity and the valuable experiences they gained outside the four corners of the classroom. 🏫Hence, we would like to congratulate all the winners and our students who exerted their best efforts in all the competitions.👏🏆
