In light of the upcoming College elections and the display of different credentials of the running candidates, the Brent Debate Society strongly condemns candidates who declare FALSE MEMBERSHIP or TRAINEE status in the organization.

Take note that a Brent Debate Society MEMBER is someone who has passed our recruitment process, undergone our training process, participated in the organization’s activities such as debate tournaments, and actively fulfilled their administrative duties within the society.

A TRAINEE, on the other hand, has only passed the recruitment process but has not necessarily passed or undergone the training process. A trainee status is UNEQUIVOCALLY REVOKED once the recruit leaves the organization. Claiming to be a trainee of the Brent Debate Society should hold true to its meaning—that you still actively participate in our trainings and practices.

Our organization’s membership is hard-earned and requires endurance, commitment, and grit to maintain. We do not tolerate candidates who use membership or trainee status for clout, much less for political traction during the elections.

Habang pinapatagal ang kaso ni Sara Duterte, patuloy ang pagnanakaw ng rehimeng Duterte-Marcos at ang pagkakait sa ating karapatan sa edukasyon at serbisyo. Ramdam ito ng mga Sambayanan — mula Luzon hanggang Mindanao.

Hindi mabubura ng Korte Suprema ang katotohanan: may krisis, may korapsyon, at walang pananagutan. Kung tahimik ang mga institusyon, taumbayan ang hahatol.
