On September 18, 2026, the College of Public Administration and Development Studies (CPADS), the Office of the President (OP), and the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs (OVPAA) proudly joined the WMSU ASEAN 2026 Celebration, bringing with us the colors, creativity, and cultural identity of the Philippines.๐๐๐ฅ
Anchored on the themeโ๐ก๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ด๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐ข๐๐ฟ ๐๐๐๐๐ฟ๐ฒ, ๐ง๐ผ๐ด๐ฒ๐๐ต๐ฒ๐ฟ,โ this yearโs ASEAN celebration at Western Mindanao State University brought together colleges, university offices, and participating higher education institutions in a meaningful celebration of the rich and diverse cultures of the ASEAN community.๐ถ
For CPADS, the celebration became an opportunity not only to compete, but also to showcase what makes Filipino culture unique.
Through the ๐๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ๐บ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ธ ๐๐ผ๐บ๐ฝ๐ฒ๐๐ถ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป, CPADS transformed creativity into a visual representation of Filipino identityโhighlighting elements of our heritage, traditions, and cultural character. Every detail reflected the effort of the students and everyone behind the preparation, reminding us that culture can be expressed not only through words, but also through creativity, artistry, and storytelling.
The ๐๐ฎ๐ป๐ฐ๐ฒ ๐ฃ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ฑ๐ฒ ๐๐ผ๐บ๐ฝ๐ฒ๐๐ถ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป, meanwhile, brought Filipino energy and passion to the stage. With every movement, beat, and formation came hours of preparation, teamwork, discipline, and dedication. More than a performance, it became a celebration of the Filipino spiritโexpressive, passionate, and deeply connected to culture.
As emphasized during the WMSU ASEAN 2026 celebration, unity does not mean uniformity. ASEAN allows different cultures and traditions to exist side by side while creating opportunities to learn from one another and move forward together. In the same spirit, CPADS proudly celebrated its own identity while being part of a larger community that values diversity, friendship, cooperation, and regional unity.
And beyond the competitions, the experience reminded us that these activities are more than displays or contests. Your time, talent, effort, and commitment made every presentation possible. From the planning and preparation to the final performance, you carried the name of CPADS with pride and showed what our students can accomplish when we lead together, show up together, and serve together.
CPADS did not simply participate.
