Yesterday, the final day of CEnergy: Connecting Fields, Skills, and Practice brought us face-to-face with the realities of Construction and Structural Engineering, featuring our esteemed speaker, Engr. Abdurauf I. Sawadjaan, Founder of Abdurauf Sawadjaan Engineering Consultancy.

Held at the Tee King Lecture Hall, 4th Floor, Sauras Extension Building, the session gathered aspiring civil engineers ready to gain practical insights into the realities of the construction industry and the underlying principles behind safe, efficient, and resilient structural design. Engr. Sawadjaan shared invaluable real-world experiences, emphasizing the significance of application of theories into practice and the importance of considering the messy reality of the sites. The session was also capped off with an engaging and insightful open forum. 🏢📐

As CEnergy 2026 came to a close, the Final Day served as a powerful reminder that engineering goes beyond calculations — it is about responsibility, accountability, and building structures that stand the test of time.

Last November 29, our fellow future engineers laced up and took part in RUN𝐆𝐈𝐍𝐄𝐄𝐑𝐒 2025: Construye y Corre at Paseo del Mar, Zamboanga City. 🌅✨

Organized by the Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers – PICE Zamboanga City Chapter, the event brought together students, professionals, and running enthusiasts in one meaningful celebration of strength, unity, and purpose. True to its theme, “Juntos kita corre, juntos kita construye,” we didn’t just run the extra mile — we built stronger connections within the civil engineering community. 💙

From the starting line to the finish, it was a night filled with energy, determination, and pride in the profession we are preparing to embrace.

Viva, Zamboanga! Today, we celebrate the vibrant culture, colorful heritage, and resilient spirit that make our beloved city truly one of a kind. From its rich history and iconic landmarks like Zamboanga City Hall and Fort Pilar, to its lively traditions and warm-hearted people, Zamboanga stands proud as Asia’s Latin City. 💃🏽✨

Dia de Zamboanga is commemorated every February 26 in honor of the city’s charter, granted in 1937 during the Commonwealth period under President Manuel L. Quezon. This historic milestone marked Zamboanga’s transformation into a chartered city, paving the way for growth, progress, and a strengthened local identity deeply rooted in Chavacano heritage and multicultural influences.

As we celebrate, may we continue to preserve our traditions, embrace our diversity, and carry forward the legacy of resilience and pride that defines every Zamboangueño.

Sa ika-40 anibersaryo ng EDSA People Power Revolution, nagkakaisa ang El Consejo Atenista at ang mga organisasyon ng mga mag-aaral ng Ateneo de Zamboanga University sa isang paninindigan. Hindi lamang ito pagbabalik-tanaw, ito ay paalala na ang demokrasya ay kailangang bantayan at ipaglaban.

Sa bawat hakbang, tumitindig kami laban sa disimpormasyon, korapsyon, at pagbaluktot sa kasaysayan. Ang liwanag ng katotohanan ay hindi kailanman magpapasupil. At hangga't may kabataang mulat at kumikilos, hindi kailanman muling maghahari ang diktadura sa ating bayan.

40 years ago, history was changed by the power of the people.

Today, we commemorate the 40th Anniversary of the EDSA People Power Revolution, a testament to what unity, courage, and faith can achieve. May this day remind us of what we continue to stand and fight for: truth, justice, and accountability.

In the face of a system shaken by unveiled corruption and broken institutions, may we remain firm in our principles and steadfast in defending what is right and what we rightfully deserve.

The second day of CEnergy: Connecting Fields, Skills, and Practice officially flowed into the dynamic world of Water Resources Engineering with our esteemed speaker, Dr. Jessica Ma. Paz S. Casimiro.

Held at the Bro. Richie Fernando Hall (RFH), the session gathered aspiring civil engineers eager to deepen their understanding of how water systems sustain communities and shape resilient infrastructure. From watershed management to sustainable water supply systems, Dr. Casimiro shared invaluable industry insights through comprehensive discussions and an engaging open forum. Indeed, Day 2 became a meaningful exploration of managing our most vital resource — analyzing water behavior and designing solutions that ensure safety, sustainability, and service to society. 🌧️💧
