Service to the CLA community is anchored in well‑being, dignity, and fair access—core principles that guide everything we do. Our programs are designed to reinstate the practical support and everyday comforts that every learner is entitled to enjoy.

On May 18, 2026, College of Liberal Arts Student Council 𝗠𝗮𝘆𝗼𝗿 𝗠𝗼𝗵. 𝗔𝗹𝘇𝗮𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗔. 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗶 and 𝗩𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝘆𝗼𝗿 𝗔𝗹𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗝𝗼𝗵𝗻 𝗢. 𝗗𝘂𝗰𝗼𝘆 formally turned over their flagship project “𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐁𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐖𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐫’𝐬 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐤𝐬” to the CLA Dean, Dr. Fhadzralyn A. Karanain.

True to its name, this initiative restores and guarantees access to basic necessities that every student has the right to enjoy. Included in this turnover are water jugs for free water services, sanitary napkins, stand fans, and basic first aid kits. These essentials ensure that no student is hindered by minor health concerns, lack of hydration, or discomfort, allowing everyone to focus fully on their studies and campus life.

This turnover is just the start of our full rollout. Additional non‑tangible services—including the Electrical Maintenance Report System and the CLA‑CSC Student Help Desk—will be launched and accessible when the new academic year begins.

What we have turned over is far greater than just these essentials, it stands as our heartfelt gratitude to every student for trusting and standing with us all this time. It is also our firm pledge: we will keep showing up, keep improving, and keep delivering service that truly matches what you deserve.

Last April 22, 2026, the CLA-College Student Council successfully convened for the first reading of the CLA-CSC Office Rules and Regulations through parliamentary procedure, presided over by 𝐕𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐲𝐨𝐫 𝐀𝐥𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐉𝐨𝐡𝐧 𝐎. 𝐃𝐮𝐜𝐨𝐲.

The session focused on establishing policies and guidelines that will help maintain professionalism, accountability, order, and respect within the CLA-CSC Office. Through collaborative discussion and proper process, council members were able to review and deliberate on the proposed provisions for the betterment of the organization and its operations.

This initiative reflects the council’s commitment to upholding discipline, strengthening governance, and fostering a productive environment that promotes effective leadership and genuine service to the student body.

In the world of BA English Language Studies, words may shape minds — but it is dedication behind the scenes that brings every vision to life.

On 𝐌𝐚𝐲 𝟏𝟔, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, the BA English Language Studies Councilors officially conducted the turnover of their departmental initiative titled “𝘽𝘼 𝙀𝙇𝙎 𝙉𝙚𝙘𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙚𝙨,” led by English Councilors 𝐃𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐞𝐥 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐞𝐬 𝐇. 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐚𝐢𝐥 and 𝐀𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐞 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐞 𝐂. 𝐉𝐮𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐧, together with 𝐌𝐨𝐡. 𝐀𝐥𝐳𝐚𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐀. 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐢, Mayor of the College of Liberal Arts–Student Council. Received by the BA ELS Department alongside faculty members and student representatives, the initiative aims to provide essential tools and classroom resources needed for academic activities, event preparations, and student-led programs.

The turnover included construction and event materials such as hammers, handsaws, pliers, tuckers, and other classroom necessities that will strengthen accessibility, efficiency, and productivity within the department. More than just a turnover of equipment, this initiative stands as a symbol of leadership in action, collective responsibility, and genuine commitment to the BA ELS community. It reflects the councilors’ vision of creating lasting resources that will continue to support present and future students proving that meaningful service is not only seen in grand events, but also in the small foundations that help every success stand strong.

This serves as a reminder that every economic decision ultimately affects the lives of people who experience its consequences, which is why Economics Councilors chose to apply these principles not only in managing investments, allocations, and scarce resources, but also in investing in good governance and leadership back to the students they serve.

Two councilors continuously navigating the invisible hand shared the same vision of crossing into a new threshold on 𝐌𝐚𝐲 𝟏𝟔, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔. Economics Councilors 𝐀𝐬𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐤 𝐊𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐖𝐚𝐡𝐢𝐝 and 𝐀𝐧𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐚 𝐑𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐞 𝐀𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐨𝐥𝐚 officially executed an asset handover to the Economics Society as part of their project turnover, marking the successful culmination of “𝐄𝐐𝐔𝐈𝐏: 𝐄𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐜𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐄𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐜𝐬 𝐒𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐭𝐲.” The initiative supplied materials designed to address the demands of the economics community. Included in the turnover were a heavy-duty tent, a Bluetooth speaker, two extension wires, and a basic toolkit intended for construction and repair purposes.

Much like capital that gains value through continuous circulation, this turnover reaches its highest return through its purpose of being reinvested into the people and generating value for the future. This highlights that the strongest investment is measured through sustainability that continues to create collective progress.

"𝙂𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙁𝙞𝙡𝙟𝙤𝙧𝙨 𝙥𝙖𝙧𝙖 𝙨𝙖 𝙁𝙞𝙡𝙟𝙤𝙧𝙨", meaning everything is by and for Filipino majors, sums up their service: strong support systems, built by students who understand our needs, are the foundation of every smooth academic journey, and these often start with meaningful projects passed on from student leaders.

On 𝗠𝗮𝘆 𝟭𝟲, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, Councilors 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗶 𝗠. 𝗔𝗹𝗶𝗵𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗻 and 𝗞𝗲𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗹𝘆 𝗘. 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗽𝗰𝗶𝗼𝗻 of Batsilyer ng Sining sa Filipino formally turned over their project to the department, officially received by the Department Adviser and head, Ms. Roselyn Espinosa.

In a discipline rich with discussions, presentations, and creative expression, being physically safe, comfortable, and technically ready is just as essential as mastering language and literature. With the project entitled "𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁: 𝗘𝗻𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗺 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗪𝗲𝗹𝗳𝗮𝗿𝗲", this project directly addresses the department's needs for shelter for activities and water and meds for learners. The turnover included key items: a sturdy tent to serve as shelter and venue for department activities, a water dispenser for easy hydration, and a supply of basic medicines and first-aid kits for health emergencies. Also provided were universal projector adapters, removing technical barriers to learning.

Embodying the very essence of how “Filjors Cares”, this turnover reflects the heartfelt care of the Filipino Councilors and the broader dedication of the College Student Council—all rooted in the enduring promise of the College of Liberal Arts and the Filipino Department. It ensures student welfare remains a top priority and that every resource is stewarded with clear purpose.

𝐃𝐨𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚 𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐥? 𝐁𝐞𝐭𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥 𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐚𝐥 𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟, 𝐊𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧 𝐇𝐨𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐲 𝐟𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐭𝐡 𝐛𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐬. 𝐁𝐞𝐭𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐩𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐟𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐬𝐚𝐦𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠.

Psychology once lost its home, yet like neuroplasticity, it is never over; it holds the capacity to rebuild and form new pathways. One of those pathways unfolded on 𝐌𝐚𝐲 𝟏𝟓, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, as 𝐏𝐬𝐲𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐬 𝐊𝐢𝐳𝐫𝐚𝐡 𝐀𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐨𝐧 and 𝐉𝐚𝐧 𝐀𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐜 𝐒𝐢𝐚, with a shared sense of continuity, entrusted their major project to the Psychology Local Society.

The Psychology Councilors successfully implemented 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐄𝐋𝐄𝐕𝐀𝐓𝐄: 𝐄𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐄𝐧𝐯𝐢𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐕𝐢𝐬𝐮𝐚𝐥-𝐀𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐨 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲. Included in the turnover were a smart Android television, a flat panel display, a battery, extension wires, and High-Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI). This initiative can be viewed through the lens of Dual Coding Theory, emphasizing that learning is effectively processed and retained through both visual and auditory channels.

Guided by psychological principles, this turnover becomes more than a transfer of material; it is a stepping stone toward rebuilding. As responsibilities shift from the former to future stewards, so too does the opportunity to expand, extending its purpose and continuing to evolve across time and minds.

Behind every smooth academic journey lies a solid system of support—and often, these systems begin as meaningful projects passed on from student leaders.

On May 14, 2026, BS Accountancy Councilors 𝐀𝐥𝐲𝐬𝐬𝐚 𝐊𝐚𝐲𝐞 𝐀𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐣𝐚𝐨 and 𝐍𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐥 𝐅𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐬 𝐑. 𝐖𝐞𝐞 formally handed over their flagship program to the 𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐫 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐭𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐀𝐜𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐬 (𝐉𝐏𝐈𝐀) – 𝐖𝐌𝐒𝐔.

In a field where precision, accuracy, and speed are non-negotiable, whether balancing entries, solving problems, or taking major assessments, having a calculator is as vital as knowing the concepts themselves. Named the 𝗖𝗔𝗟𝗖𝗨-𝗟𝗼𝗮𝗻 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺: 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗻 𝗨𝘀, this project ensures that no student is caught unprepared: it provides access to functional calculators during exams, quizzes, and class activities for those who may have forgotten, lost, or cannot afford their own; and establishes a clear, organized lending system for these items.

This turnover is more than just transferring items; it is a continuing commitment from the College of Liberal Arts and the Accountancy department. It guarantees that support stays available, resources are used properly, and every student is given a fair chance to compute their way toward academic success.

On 𝐌𝐚𝐲 𝟏𝟒, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, the Mass Communication Councilors officially conducted the turnover of their departmental initiative titled “ 𝙎𝘾𝙊𝙋𝙀 - 𝑺𝒕𝒖𝒅𝒊𝒐 𝑪𝒍𝒆𝒂𝒏𝒍𝒊𝒏𝒆𝒔𝒔, 𝑶𝒑𝒕𝒊𝒎𝒊𝒛𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑷𝒓𝒐𝒗𝒊𝒔𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒐𝒇 𝑬𝒒𝒖𝒊𝒑𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝑴𝒂𝒔𝒔𝑪𝒐𝒎𝒎.” Leading the initiative were Mass Communication Councilors 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐃𝐚𝐡𝐥𝐢𝐚 𝐀𝐧𝐧𝐞 𝐁. 𝐒𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐮𝐦𝐛𝐚 and 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐜 𝐉𝐨𝐡𝐧 𝐁. 𝐒𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐚, together with 𝐌𝐨𝐡. 𝐀𝐥𝐳𝐚𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐀. 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐢, Mayor of the College of Liberal Arts–Student Council, as they formally turned over the project to the Mass Communication Department.

Focused on improving both academic and production spaces, the initiative provides essential instructional, production, and maintenance materials that will greatly benefit students, faculty members, and future student leaders. The turnover included a projector, tripods, HDMI cables, extension wires, chalks, blackboard erasers, mops, cleaning tools, and other important materials that aim to create a cleaner, more organized, and more effective environment for learning and media production.

More than just a turnover of equipment, the project symbolizes dedication, unity, and genuine service to the department and its students. It reflects the shared responsibility of caring for these resources so they may continue to support classroom discussions, broadcasting activities, interviews, productions, and future department events. Through proper use, maintenance, and cooperation, these materials are expected to serve and inspire learners for many years to come.
