In times of crisis and recovery, caring for our children begins with understanding, compassion, and the right support.

The Ateneo de Zamboanga University invites parents, guardians, faculty, and staff to a Psychoeducation Session on August 29, 2026, at the Multi-purpose Covered Courts 1 (MPCC1), Salvador Campus.

The program's speaker, Ms. Avy Acosta, RPsy, from the Department of Psychology and the Ateneo Bulatao Center for Psychological Services of Ateneo de Manila University, will be sharing her knowledge in guiding our youths as they go through crisis and recovery.

ANNOUNCEMENT | Continued Suspension of Classes and Alternative Learning Activities

To our dear parents and guardians,

Classes at the Ateneo de Zamboanga University (AdZU) Grade School will remain suspended from August 24 to 28, 2026.

We understand the weight of the recent events on our community, and we hope that this period will give our students, families, faculty, and staff the time and space to attend to their well-being and recovery as we continue to accompany one another with care and understanding.

From September 1 to 4, 2026, students will engage in non-academic activities through an alternative learning modality intended to support their emotional well-being and encourage reconnection. Further details will be provided in the coming days.

Psychological First Aid (PFA) sessions and other appropriate support services will also remain available to students, families, and personnel who may need assistance. Parents and guardians are encouraged to remain attentive to their children’s needs and to reach out to the school whenever support is needed.

As we continue to journey through this challenging time, may we remain a community rooted in compassion, prayer, and hope, entrusting the entire AdZU community to the grace and guidance of the Almighty God.
