In Remembrance of a Revolutionary Leader
Today, we solemnly commemorate the death anniversary of Andrรฉs Bonifacio, the Father of the Philippine Revolution, whose courage, patriotism, and unwavering resolve became a driving force in the struggle for the freedom of the Philippines.
More than a revolutionary, Bonifacio was a symbol of resistance against oppression and a voice for a people longing for liberty and justice. His sacrifice reminds us that the nationโs freedom was built upon the bravery of those who dared to rise, fight, and dream of a sovereign homeland.
As we honor his memory today, may his legacy continue to ignite in every Filipino the values of courage, unity, and deep love for country. His life remains a timeless reminder that true patriotism is shown not only in words, but in action, sacrifice, and service to the nation.
We remember. We honor. We continue his legacy.

MAY 1: THE DAY THE PHILIPPINES FIRST MARCHED
Today, we celebrate the 123rd anniversary of the first Labor Day in the Philippines, honoring the courage of those who fought for the rights we have now. On this day in 1903, the streets of Manila were flooded with over 100,000 participantsโnot just the printers and tailors of the city, but also the magsasaka (farmers) and agricultural workers who formed the backbone of the nation. Starting from Plaza Moriones in Tondo, they marched as one to the gates of Malacaรฑang Palace to demand dignity and an end to "inhumane" labor under American colonial rule.
Led by the Uniรณn Obrera Democrรกtica de Filipinas, this massive movement proved that the struggle for fair wages was inseparable from the struggle for national independence. While the marchers called for an eight-hour workday and fair treatment, they also famously chanted for sovereignty, showing the world that the Filipino spirit remained unbowed. Despite the colonial government's attempt to silence them by arresting leaders like Dr. Dominador Gomez for "sedition," their solidarity eventually led to the official recognition of Labor Day as a national holiday in 1908.
Todayโs Araw ng mga Manggagawa serves as a tribute to that historic unity. Whether in the fields, the factories, or the offices of today, the legacy of 1903 lives on in every Filipino worker standing up for a just and fair future. Mabuhay ang manggagawang Pilipino! ๐ต๐ญ

"Negosyo o Kalayaan?Bayan o Sarili?Kumain Ka!"
History 2A conducted a culminating activity in Entrepreneurial Mind that showcased a variety of food products presented before panelists who served as potential consumers or future buyers if the products were to be sold. Each group prepared and presented their own food product to gather different comments and feedback on whether it would be generally acceptable for selling. They also demonstrated the tools they used and explained the step-by-step process of how the product was made.
In addition, each group presented their business plan, which included the Product Name, Service, Unique Selling Points, Marketing Strategy, Revenue Streams, Costing, Goals, and Timeline.
Moreover, this activity was not only a culminating event but also a valuable lesson that showed how simple business ideas are connected to the subject Entrepreneurial Minds.
